@XJesseJamezX: I agree wholeheartedly. Yes, it's difficult to leave behind your fortunes and skills. But consider this. What was Runescape LIKE in 2007? It was much more difficult, certainly. Before the G.E., people made their own bargains. It was trickier to procure the materials needed to train skills -- even one 99 was impressive. Rune armor was somewhat nice, not quite a status item perhaps but... nice, something to gloat over. What would happen if skills and items transferred over? Everything would immediately be simpler. There would already be hundreds of thousands of materials floating around, etc. Importation would completely destroy the difficulty of the game.
