I am somewhat excited but then again the thought of starting over is kind of depressing.. you can take the game back to 2007 and it was a fun and more "innocent" time I guess but they'll have a harder time taking the mindset of players back to that time too many years of dealing with rampant botting, cheating and scamming...

What's being done to keep the bots out?? Why not just get rid of the ge and give the bots their own worlds to play on and leave them there.. Let them have fun trying to find buyers for all the stuff they collect on their OWN worldS

I wish I could say my good player friends from that era would be back but they are long gone into the wind.

so you can bring back the game but you have lost a lot of the players

I wasn't able to read every single page, so maybe this has been asked: Does this mean the first few days of release (if it does happen) will be like the first few days of when runescape was originally released. There will be no rune, or any armor, but it will have to be slowly smithed or received as a reward from a dragon/enemy. Also, what is going to happen with rares? Will there just be no Santas and Phats?

I have a feeling that the first few weeks would be chaotic, because of the fact that everyone is starting fresh, so everyone will need to be at the resource/combat areas, so there will be limited mining, wcing, and crowded popular fighting areas.

Can't wait if this happens though :)

They have stated the new prices will not affect the old version of the game. Just keep playing that and your prices will not increase frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

I do hope to see this go through and find itself a small dev team, and if its free even better. :) With that being said I truly hope there will be a system of character importing. As much as I want to return to 2007, the idea of redoing five and a half years of training is not appealing at all. Furthermore if this only reached one of the levels which required additional payment, it would be a deal breaker for me if I had to pay more to re-do things I have already done*
