Good job on the mass ban in the current game.

Now some not-so-good news...
Please watch the video in the news posting labeled "The Community of 2007".
Pay attention to the clothing of the characters.
Do you see the standard bot setup?
Tan shirt, Green trousers, Bald head.
Uh huh.
The default setup you say?
After all, the wag who is running the video is dressed that way.
Think back my friends.
You remember what they looked like.

If the '07 game continues you'll need to carry over your anti-bot campaign (and that expense) to this alternate venue.

@Slipped please don't speak for the community. Jagex did well with this however they need to follow through. Start fixing the obscene amount of resources we have open game for example.

I have no idea what you mean but I'm assuming you mean skilling resources.
I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GRIND ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.
I already have to grind herby w/o buying, as it's way to expensive.
Removing resources is a bad idea.
Training will go to the rich again, not that YOU care.
Rich players will get 99s in a day, poor (but legit/not able to find ways to make money) players will take years just to get one.

LOL

A War against anything secures a purpose for something. Purposes tend to live forever. What we need is a Solution. Solutions end things... like unwanted slime who ruin the game.

I don't believe (after 7 years of watching this "war&*uot ;) that ending the bots is truly a top priority. Lip service to "fighting" the bots, "warring" against the bots, etc., is given, but solving the problem will ever elude us. Why? The existence of bots serves a purpose... for someone, somewhere in the hierarchy of the organization. Otherwise, this war would have ended long ago.

I salute the news, but genuinely believe the enemy will rise in another way, another area, another time... very soon. You know what the solution is, but haven't the stomach to lose your purpose. Shameful, really.

Removing resources means we can make money by skilling again. There are things that should make you money that really don't atm. You can't just ban the bots and ignore the damage done by them that solves nothing.

So yeah your point about people not being able to make money is bs. There will be more ways to make money.

A solution gives a final and definite conclusion, which is sadly something which can never occur as long as bot developers continue to develop a bot. Jagex will always be creating anti-bot procedures and every time the bot developers will just make amends to their bots and continue as usual. The only way Jagex can win is to get so far ahead of the developers that they can no longer keep up with the game.

In other words, it's a war with no clear ending.
