Sigh...
So no special attack means you can't really fight the pest queen or sigmund in the dominion tower or in their respective quests thus severely reducing the chances for someone to get the completionist cape or the trimmed completionist cape. Oh wait this topic is about slayer and prayer that's right.
I'm quite happy that there are range and mage versions of turmoil, but with all the abilities out there it becomes quite unnecessary to even use the magic/range equivalent of turmoil. I tested this on ganodermic beasts the other day. I was able to kill them 1/4th of the time than normal using abilities along with polypore staff and mage pray. I'm sure the timing would be reduced further with mage turmoil on.
Now I don't mind killing ganos faster, but what about other slayer tasks? Abyssal demons, Abby specs, any type of dragon, skeletal wyvern, nechrayel, etc. All of those slayer monsters drop valuable items, abby demons, and nechrayel in particular infernal ashes. Now killing abby demons or abby specs faster is great, but those of us with pack yaks will have to leave items we want on the ground due to the unnecessary increased speed of kills along with limited special move points.
Also all magic weapons are 2h pretty much making all of the new magic books and magic stuff in the offhand slot rather useless. Unless you don't want to use a magic attack weapon, but then you'd be spending more runes on magic and thus spend more money.
Constitution becomes a useless skill with only one ability that can be used in combat and armor that buffs up our constitution anyway. 99 constitution has become just another skillcape on the wall with nothing special about it anymore.
And heaven forbid you use a multi target ability in kuradel's dungeon or in areas that are SUPPOSED to be single combat. If you do this, you have several monsters attacking you. If you don't think it's a problem then go to mithril dragons, cast that tidle wave ability, and have 3 of them attack you.
