I'm hoping to get the gold membership but finances are tight. If I get lucky and paid on the 31st instead of the first I will be able to. Really wish this would stick around a little past the 31st. Fingers crossed

Not gonna waste my money on beta access. the cosmetic crap is worthless and pointless.

I pay the old price of $5 a month so not only is this more money for a years worth of membership and a bunch of useless crap, but back in the day that $5 a month is all I would have to pay to get access to betas. Just more proof that Jagex cares about the money only instead of the people paying it.

Gold membership was my Christmas present to myself, and I love all the items I received with it.

Wish it came with a free Hexhunter though.. nearing 150m xp and still no drop -.-

personally i want to get it but people are saying that this is a scam and your just going to shut down in a couple of month i think that maybe it might be worth it but i think it might be worth it maybe if you don't shut down like a few people were saying.

What I find amusing is the "Terms and Conditions" alluded to on the announcement post (fast link here: http://services.runescape.***/m=forum/l=0/sl=0/forums***?294,295,115,64148404). The first post in terms and conditions is quite long but the second is the most interesting and quite hillarious:

"Premier Club Specific competition Terms & Conditions

Details will be announced soon. All players who purchase the gold membership will be entered automatically."

LOL - Are you serious?!?!?!? Terms and conditions "to be announced" for a package you are trying to sell?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I think Jagex's gouge-o-matic is stuck in overdrive with the after-burners running wide open.

People - this can be modified in any way they see fit. They could decide you have to be wearing yellow on a Tuesday with 2 left-footed Adidas shoes. Most legal advisors would likely suggest to stay away from such a "scam" that does not publish ALL terms and conditions UP FRONT.


*edit* - remember they have sold many of these packages already so those people have entered into a binding yet "modifiable" (by Jagex only) contract. I feel bad for them in falling for the "terms and conditions" loophole crap being foisted upon them. Of course they could have read it in advance, but let's face it... a large portion of the player base consists of "minors" (not of legal age) and therefore may not have the street-smarts to read the finer points of contracts.... Jagex knows this and seems to exploit this little tidbit.

#2 - I love how they filter out their own address lol. You can refer to the link on the first post of this thread under "terms and conditions".
