Well I thought it was fun but then I loved the Dr Who christmas "The Snowman" :)

They did seem to speed up the spawn rate from the first one... Those of you complaining about higherlevel people getting all the kills I am lvl 170 or something like that I dont even know... and I got two dragon battleaxes and a dragon long. and a bunch of dragon darts.

Not every event needs to be just for higher level players though there maybe should have been a variety of levels of snowmen?

if you stand still and waited in one spot then when everyone rushed to the newspawn you would already be there waiting for it.

I was going to compliment Jagex for stopping the cannons from attacking snowmen like they originally did, but I participated in a new raid and there was a new sort of kill hog. Someone who is undoubtedly filthy rich already, was spamming some spell that targeted every snowman as it spawned, so I got one drop again, and others got very few drops as well. I don't know what the heck that spell was, but it should not be used in events like this for the same reason that cannons shouldn't be used, because it prevents everyone but the person using it from enjoying the event. I'm not even sure that the spell he was spamming dealt damage, but it sure met the tag requirement. Here's an idea. Spells that attack everything should not tag anything.

People who are greedy and exploit an event like this and use a mass target spell over and over again and prevent others from enjoying the event at all are selfish jerks and need to be banned. I see no difference between botting and exploiting a weakness in the code, in both cases it gives an unfair advantage over others, and in the case of this exploit, it's even worse, because it prevents others from enjoying themselves. Such greedy, selfish punks should be banned.

@ A Real Pker: The snowmen only spawn at one of the given locations, at every full hour. Such as, 8:00, 9:00, etc. You can't tell which of the spots the spawn at, so when it's *:59 o'clock, start teleing through the possible locations, until you find one where it is snowing. That's where they'll spawn.

Also, the spot mentioned on the list for Gnome stronghold is wrong, the snowmen spawn somewhat south of the tele-tree, not at the grand tree in the stronghold. So maybe you got unlucky, and missed them when they were on the gnome location?

...

In relation to the cannons and/or area effect spells. I've fought against both, with mage, and gotten good kill count anyway, around 20-40 snowmen per raid. And I'm not highlvl or anything. That said, if you have any lag, you can't get a single kill in, no matter how hard you try.

In all Honesty, the past few years i've come to notice how money craving jagex has become. These horrible "weekend wonders" are pointless. Jagex gets me all hyped up for something so miniscule. I get to my first snowman raid, only to kill but one snowman. and to what dd i recieve? a chocolate bar, noted. If i wasnt already suckered into buying the gold membership, i would have quit by now. but since I already gave jagex my money, figured I'd get my return. as for the glitches and stuff in the game, thats fun. but playing this game right just isn't fun anymore... events are boring. and anything ppl did like about this game, jagex had to change or remove from the game..

...sigh..

Oh come now, if you want to attack them for money grubbing attack the double spins deals during a new soon-to-be discontinued item. This is the first time they've tried something significantly different in the ways of holidays and they didn't adequately anticipate the over-saturation of spawns.

Omg yes! XD This is SO much better than the Thanksgiving Turkey invasion! I can't properly express how happy I am! ^_^ Rather than all having a single spawn point that they spawn from in set intervals, you have them spread out over a wide area, (marked by snowfall, nice touch on that! ;) ) with constant respawns, AND it's on all worlds. THIS is what the turkey takeover should have been! But I digress, I think this certainly makes up for it in my opinion. Now I just have to wait for Hati and Skoll to come around. ;)
