I was looking forward to getting a few Slayer levels this weekend, but then I realized how stupidly crowded the spawns are going to be. I'd be totally fine if I was competing with normal players. However, 65% or so of the people are going to be bots, which is stupid. Not only do they tag mobs before you, they also randomly start attacking your stuff, which gives you less EXP in the long run.
My current task is Grotworms, and it's a joke. I tried at least 20 different worlds, each one had 2 people per mob, others had 1 person per mob (but I wouldn't try to compete if they're legit players). A simple 90 mob task that should take 30 mins ends up taking 3 hours. And the multi combat everywhere doesn't help any either t_t. I think it's time to start cracking down on bots. It wouldn't be hard to get some player mods who are responsible for trimming the bot population down. After a month or so of a dedicated team banning bots, we'd be seeing a lot less, and it would be a lot more fun for everyone.
/rant. I'll probably spend the weekend fishing, presuming I don't die from boredom lol. Runecrafting or Herblore would have been a lot more fun, and they're needed for PoP as well, but I'm not really one to shy away from a good event. Here's to hoping I have the patience and concentration to fish all weekend lmao.
