It's the minority of players who don't like SoF. And the minority who complains that it's too easy way to get stuff will stay playing RS NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. SoF brings RS a lot new subscribers and money, after all, is all that matters. I personally love the chance to win something good daily.
Complainers, go grow some balls to quit the game if it doesn't please you rather than complain on the forums.

I have to disagree with some of the comments made regarding Squeal od Fortune. I enjoy the opportunity to be rewarded for playing the game daily. I realize that some of the long-term players are upset and feel as though newer players are receiving an unfair advantage; however, new players could argue the fact that long-term players have access to high dollar items that cannot be obtained by new player (party hats are a prime example). My RS house will never be complete becuase I cannot obtain all the holiday/special items that were released in the past.
As far as SoF ruining the economy of Runescape, I really don't see it having a negative impact. Sure you can score a few free coins, but I don't think the amounts will be high enough to have a negative effect on the game economy. I also think that making the big SoF prizes nontradable was a smart move. If a new player obtains a set of lucky dragon claws, they can't sell them to increase their wealth. If anything, it will encourage player to train their skill in order to be able to use their rewards.
The only negative I see with SoF is the ability to purchase spins. Sof should be a reward for playing the game regularly, not a reward for having a large amount of cash to spend!
