@Mod Drebin - Thanks for taking the time to acknowledge and respond to posts on the community roundup. It's more than players have had in the past, and it's a shame that some players cannot appreciate what they've got.

The message of the day feature on login is a nice touch - not too obtrusive, informative, and players are aware of what in-game events will be occurring in the near future (as well as what items may be in Solomon's store).

Nice to see references to tipsites for the most recent quests despite a few bugs in each set (looping issues with interrupting the ritual, and lack of flashing squares in the brink of extinction). I experienced the latter one myself, but found a workaround by logging out and back in again.

The final combat scene in BoE was challenging, and the voice acting was pretty good, although I thought the overall quest was a little bland and straight-forward. I prefer intuitive gameplay and complex quests, rather than the other way around.

I'm *** sure what happened last weekend, as I didn't receive double drops until half way through, but at least I got to use instakill darts for double nex drops, unlocked the zaros zeitgeist soundtrack, and made a tidy 7.5 mil profit and a set of ancient ceremonial robes for my costume room.

I'm looking forward to the double minigame rewards, but I'm curious as to which minigames will be included. Judging from the recent combat-based updates, would it be fair to assume just CW, SW, FoG & PC?

Personally, I would really love double rewards for Trouble Brewing, Great Orb Project & Mobilising Armies. TB and MA just don't get the crowds any more and it's hard to find teams, while GOP is less worthwhile because the XP rates at RuneSpan or imbuing staves in dungeoneering is considerably higher now.

Finally, I have been training dung to get to 115 before the bonus dungeoneering XP weekend to capitalise on prestige and higher floors as much as possible. Overall, the content this month has been much better :)

This is all just a ploy to keep the member base. Suddenly doing multiple promotions right after an update that the majority of players hate just to keep them on is just low. Admit the end of combat was a huge fail. Go on get it over with so that it won't end up being as damaging as the removal of free trade/wilderness. Oh wait it's already too late because you failed to listen to the player base and rushed the end of combat into runescape as well as rushed the new quest in.

As for me I won't even be on this weekend. Nor do I care for minigames.

Iv been playing this game since 06-07 and it has been a big part of my childhood. I really don't want to quit because i have loved this game for so long, but when i see the numbers dropping to 50k people online, with atleast 10% of those being botters, i feel like im playing a game with a ton of machines and not real people.

Please explain how world 2 has about 1k people in there (most of them dicing) and it use to be full, along with other popular member worlds?

I hate how you say the game is as healthy as ever because you know its not, but don't want to admit it! You have made a big change to this game, and clearly people don't like it! You wont get a new community on this game because if they wanted a game like this, they would go to World of Warcraft which has millions of players online. It's kind of sad to see this game degrade because of the amount of hours i have put into my account, im debating whether to quit or not, i haven't yet because im hoping you will get rid of this EOC and go back to 06-07 scape that everyone loved!

I know you want this game to progress with its content and the amount of hours you have put into the EOC is probably too much to turn back now, but i think it would be for the best. Atleast make a Beta 06-07 scape, and let people go on it for a month or so.. let people give feedback on that and see how many people play it. If lots of people play it, then maybe it would be the right decision to go back to it, change isn't always a good thing!

1) *top comparing Runescape to WoW. WoW is downloadable, Runescape is not.

2) Until you have worked at Jagex LTD, stop with the fake 300k - 800k numbers.

3) I have recorded the "numbers" and we once had at least 150k or more back in the early 2000's. That is not the case now. Most of those people have left Runescape because of being older now, or perhaps lost interest and play something else. People move on from games, that's nothing new. The numbers have stayed steady of 80-90k reaching peaks of 105k on the Eastern Timezone.

4) We are all well aware of the botting situation. I see bots banned left and right. Go to World 1 or World 2 and stay there for about an hour.

5) You dislike EoC. Follow your own advice then and play WoW. But you won't.

EDIT: 6) They -MOVED- the EoC Thread because there are more forum trolls then players.
It got out of hand. There's a couple hundred people who come on the forums, and there's a good few who like me use it daily. You can see a thread fill up quick if you have a few hundred people posting bad comments. There's members who I have seen have only posted once on a forum. Once. Goes to show not every paying member comes to the forums. When I first started years ago, I hardly came to the forums, maybe once or twice a year. Look at my post count. It's pretty low for someone who has been on Runescape since Classic.

7) You'll like the EoC or hate it. There's two sides to every story. That's human nature to have an opinion. I'm just disappointed the "Anti-EoC" activists want everyone to believe they are the only ones right in this debate, and want everyone on their side. I'm sorry, but you're not only fighting Jagex, but you're using backwards thinking in a growing world of technology. I'm also concerned the ones for the EoC want to think things are super duper peachy when they are not, there are alot of glitches and bugs that need fixed. Then there's people like me who just enjoy the game and play it and not make it their lifestyle. I'm on YouTube - Search me at Littlejayberry . Or don't. Up to you.

yea idk about everyone else but i'm gonna play sc for the entire weekend pretty much

get me alot of clay items for the future :) i'd do soul wars but so many bots gonna be there and i can't guarentee i'll even win a single game (last time i went I lost 5 games in a row essentially wasting over an hour of my time)

so anyway it should be a fun weekend and provide me tons of free construction and smithing exp.
There are no strings on me.

I really hate the game play now pls jagex get rid of eoc or make servers for people to play old style runescape, i hate the way potions no longer have full effect, i hate no claw specs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and i hate having to spam the keyboard for abilities bar. I hate the way you can no longer talk without pressing enter, THIS IS CLEARLY AN AFTERTHOUGHT EOC DOES NOT WORK. i like the rework so u can DUEL WIELD weapons but THATS IT NO OTHER EOC IS GOOD It sucks. I spent ages getting my comp cape and now i no longer want to play. This shows JAGEX u have no consideration for older player just the new ones. Everywhere i look people are saying EOC Fails why not make THis new version rs 3 and let us stick to rs2. Thanks for ruining the game all the time and effort i spent has been a waste of time... THANKS FOR WASTIMG IN HOURS SPENT AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF MY LIFE.
