The update sounds awesome. Can't wait till the beta opens up.
I especially like how on the homepage the news and the background for evolution of combat line up to make a complete picture... :@

-totally agree to that devs words.its awful that RS is kind of meele only nolifers 1click fighting game.while in members worlds situation isnt all that terrible rangers/mages got plenty of armour and offensive capabilities the main image of the -Pancake of Combat- comes from non memb worlds where only meele can be used they got access to way more equipement than rangers making rangers uncompetitive.not even talking about mages..they got no equipement choice at all and since their power in RS is binded with the level of the spell and leveling magic up does not result in higher max damage of the spell having fire blast as toughest spell and having no armour[thats right non memb mages technically cant wear any armour that does osmething at all] they get wipen out by the horde of rune scimmy guys with ease.
in short- main thing im waiting from combat update enforcing non member mages and letting them access atleast some equipement.

If you really like the game it's not that expensive you know. These betas and updates do not write themselves. Someone has to get paid for making all of this come together. Why should someone who wants everything for free be allowed to have input when people who pay to play a better and more complete version of the game are in quite an abundance?
Edit: This was in response the the first free player post on page 1 of this thread.
