Hi you and welcome to Clowder’s recruitment thread! If you’ve found yourself reading this post you’re either a little bit nosey or you’re looking for a clan to call your home (or a bit of both).

As the name suggests, we like cats (or any animals for that matter – can I hear a yay for dogs?). We’re just another group of people hanging out on RS to make our time here more enjoyable. What makes us stand out is our dedication to communication and stability. After all, the clan you’re with makes or breaks your long-term interest in the game. No one really likes big changes, so they won’t happen here. We’re open to any type of feedback and we will be honest with you about what to expect from us as a clan. As long as you’re a chill person, you’ll fit in just fine.

Clowder is a clan with high aspirations. Therefore, we hope to achieve certain things in the years to come while maintaining a good atmosphere. If you’re thinking about joining us, you might want to know what our goals are. Hopefully this aligns with what you have in mind too.




A clan of 70 active members (we assume that’s around 100-110 accounts in the clan), a tier 7 citadel, 5 events a week and a staff + leadership team that consists of at least 6 members to divide all these tasks between. The average total level of the clan is around 2100 (nice mix of higher and lower leveled individuals). We will have regular events with our alliance clan(s) and are happy with where we are.

Our clan rules are simple:
> Be a chill, considerate and friendly person
> Please none of the 3 Bs: bragging, bullying, begging
> Please don’t break the RS rules
> Please don’t bring up controversial topics (e.g. politics, drugs, suicide)
> Please have a community-appropriate RS name which you share in your Discord (nick)name
> If you have suggestions or feedback, please DM or PM any staff (keys). In case of issues, ideally you can provide screenshots so we can assess the situation better

Our ranks are split up into 4 layers: casual members, special members, staff and leaders.


If you’re a casual clan member, your rank (recruit-coordinator) depends on the amount of clan points you have and whether you’re in our clan discord or not. We perform inactivity sweeps on those who have not gained any XP in 3 months, so you risk being removed if you don't keep in touch one way or another when you're not playing the game. Please always stick to the clan rules, of course.

Clan points can be gained as follows:
> Attending an event: 40 points
> Hosting an event: extra 20 points
> Capping: 40 points
> Recruiting a clan member: 100 points
> 1M clan XP: 2 points

They will reward you with the following ranks:
> Recruit: beginner rank
> Corporal: discord + 100 points
> Sergeant: discord + 200 points
> Lieutenant: discord + 500 points
> Captain: discord + 1000 points
> General: discord + 2000 points
> Admin: discord + 3200 points + 6 months in the clan
> Organiser: discord + 5000 points + 1 year in the clan
> Coordinator: discord + 15000 points + 2 years in the clan (special discord rank included)


These members have contributed in some way in the past: they were founders of the clan and have since gone (relatively) inactive. There is no activity requirement for these people. They are ranked coordinator in the clan and have the same permissions as casual members.

If you’re looking to be more active in terms of contributing to the clan, you can apply or be approached for a staff position. Staff members are essentially casual members who are willing to contribute to the clan (e.g. host clan events, recruit, bump the RS forums, screenshot and attempt to prevent disputes between members). They keep their own rank in-game for the first 3 months, after which they become an Overseer (bronze key). They have access to certain discord channels that casual and special members do not have. This rank is occasionally open for applications, but clannies may also be approached for this position. Applications will be reviewed based on how they have behaved in the clan since joining. A clannie must be ranked at least Lieutenant to be considered.




These members are deputies or owners (silver/gold key) and they are leading the clan. They oversee solving clan disputes, keeping the systems up to date and clan changes. They are required to meet the expectations of staff members.

Most important of all, we chat in-game and on Discord (both voice and typing). If you’re a considerate person to have around, you’re bound to fit in. Our clan consists of European and American/Canadian members. Roughly 50% of the members are from the EU time zones and 50% of the members are from the US time zones.

Secondly, we offer events to keep your RuneScape life interesting. We host events regularly, usually somewhere between 18:00 and 02:00 game time. There are in-game events, such as PvM (including learners! GWD1, Corp, Barrows, Nex, GWD2, ROTS, Vorago for example), group skilling, group minigames or GP winning events, as well as Discord events, such as puzzles, Skribblio, Cards Against Humanity and watching films together or challenges for you to do IRL. Not a week goes by without the appearance of an event that suits your liking.

Lastly, we hope to offer you a home where you feel comfortable expressing your desires and frustrations. We are open to your ideas and suggestions. Just DM a member of staff (a key rank) and we'll see what we can do.

Joining us is straight-forward – just visit our clan as a guest and say hello. Sometimes the 'guest has joined the channel' announcement doesn't work, so if you're not greeted upon entry that's probably why. Sorry! Any clan member can send you an invite.
