What is Freedom Fam?


Freedom Fam is a clan that aims to unite the community by helping others and provide a place to actively socialize. As a mixed F2P/P2P clan, we are a friendly group of people who are excited to get together outside the company of bots, and further excel in our gameplay.

Veterans and noobs alike are always welcome as well, and for sure will not be alone upon joining. We aim to include everybody in our clan events and have a discord available for communication outside the game.

If you are interested in joining our chat channel as a guest, you can head over to your clan interface menu, click on the small green button on the bottom right of the interface, and type: Freedom Fam

1. Rules

Listed below are the official rules of Freedom Fam:

1- Jagex Rules

All Jagex rules apply and can be found on the Runescape website.


2- Respect


In order to maintain an uplifting and productive community, it is expected of clan members to not only respect each other, but also the general community of Runescape.

3- Clan Chat


Runescape is a place where people come to escape reality and to interact with people who have the same interest in the game. In hopes to keep the clan chat free from dissent, we ask players to refrain from sensitive discussions such as politics, religion, drugs, and anything related to a sexual nature. This is asked so that we can create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, and grow despite our real-life differences.

We also ask that players refrain from pointlessly spamming the clan chat, and moderate the use of swearing. Any major disputes with another clan member in chat can be sorted by pm'ing an admin rank or higher and explaining the situation.

4- Don't be Afraid to Ask Questions


We are a clan who is here to help each other out as much as possible. Players are encouraged to interact with one another whether it is by skilling together, bossing together, or simply hanging out with one another in the game. Please do not hesitate to reach out to other members or to engage in conversation in the clan chat whenever possible. It's fun to meet new people, and the clan chat provides a strong opportunity to make friends.

2. How to Join


To join Freedom Fam, you can reply to this forum thread expressing your interest, or contact any of the clan members in game. Understand that you will need to have your pm turned to "online" to be sent an invitation to join the clan. To make sure that your status is set to online, you can go to your in-game chat box and click the diamond in the top right corner until it is gold. If you can't find the diamond on your chatbox, you will have to extend your chatbox by clicking the unlock icon on the settings action bar, then pull it horizontally until the diamond appears under the chat tabs on the chat box.

Please note that it may take about a day to be recruited through the forum. The thread is checked daily, but no guarantees an invite will be sent immediately upon requesting to join.

3. Ranks

Ranks are a very minor part of the clan system, but we do want to make them worthwhile and something to strive for which is why Overseer has a specific notation requiring good clan standing with clanmates and leads which will encompass a small group of players. Ranks will be assigned based on the total XP earnings that you have made while in the clan. This stat is tracked under the members tab on our clan page from the Runeclan website.


Ranks Available:

Recruit-
Notable clanmates who at some point were a big part of the clan but have become inactive for an unknown reason. This rank basically serves as a watchlist for old clanmates.

Corporal-
Rank given to a new recruit.

Sergeant-
Requires 750k Clan XP

Lieutenant-
Requires 1.5m Clan XP

Captain-
Requires 5m Clan XP

*
General-
Requires 10m Clan XP

*
Administrator-
Requires 25m Clan XP

*
Organiser-
Requires 50m Clan XP

*
Coordinator-
Requires 100m Clan XP

*
Overseer-
Requires 150m Clan XP and strong merit in the clan. Granted the ability to moderate chat with mutes and kick players from the clan.

We have a lot of hope to schedule events at times where everyone can make it and would include events such as playing various minigames, massive group skilling, and get-togethers to meet fellow clanmates. These will typically take place on F2P worlds in order to involve as much of the community as possible. Ideas for clan events are always welcome, and please let me or any of the clan key ranks know if you have any recommendations for what we can start doing together.

Clan Events

Our clan calendar has officially been released on our Discord channel and will be managed through the in-game Clan Noticeboard system. We will be having 9 events per year, rotating through skilling events, bossing events, and special events. We will also have a yearly clan meeting on June 9th to recognize the day Freedom Fam was founded, and of course how we plan to grow.
