Introduction: Statement of Faith

Before anything else, it must be made clear that Sainthood is a clan founded upon the Christian faith. From the date of Sainthood's conception, until we finally reach a departing farewell, this one fact will never change.

You do not have to be a Christian to join Sainthood. The clan itself is not exclusive to those of practicing faith. However, it must be made clear that we hold to certain values which we shall not regard in an apologetic manner.

You do not have to agree with our values, nor must you subscribe to our faith, but you must accept who we are free from hostility. We will openly profess our faith, and if that's intolerable, this will not be the clan for you. We strongly believe the passage in the book of Matthew that declares:

"A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand."

Faith and values will be the driving force behind the clan’s direction. Sainthood wishes to foster a community driven by positivity and integrity, free from toxicity.

Clan Charter: Article 1 - Soul

Section I: Community Philosophy
We believe at the end of the day Runescape as well as other games played under the Sainthood name are meant to be enjoyed. We seek to create a casual environment that is both fun and uplifting.

Camaraderie and personal growth are traits important to us. Aside from our faith, we believe these two traits to be indispensable pillars of our community. Those that exhibit such traits will undoubtedly excel in the Sainthood community.

We will never sacrifice the integrity or the atmosphere of our community to excel in a particular game or subcategory of Runescape. Therefore, a particular game-oriented talent or skillset will not guarantee you respect or approval over someone else. We are a community-driven clan, as such, positive behavior among your clanmates will be the ultimate standard. Lift each other up.

Section II: Gaming Philosophy
While the community will always be prioritized over success in any game, we will not allow ourselves to be unsuccessful. Our choice to give the Sainthood community a prioritization over game talent does not signify a lackluster approach to the game itself.
We strive in all that we do to foster a vigorous and engaging environment. It is our goal to not only tackle the challenges of RS, but to conquer them in companionship with our fellows.

We strive to make the game more enjoyable by providing a place where one’s milestones and achievements are met with friendly and encouraging voices. We strive to learn every new update, and master every facet of the game we all love, so that we may share it with those in Sainthood. No component of the game’s content is beyond our interest. We strive to find the most efficient way to defeat bosses. We secure for ourselves a community where one can readily find the right friends to conquer group content together. It is our pleasure to support our clanmates in their goals, be they large or small.

Section III: Clan Philosophy
Sainthood is a clan that strives to make a positive impact on the lives of others. We seek to be a clan with a strong foundation that will never erode. We want to be a clan built to last, structured with the intent of withstanding the touch of time. To achieve this, it is important that our core principles remain strong.

Our clan charter will always be our roadmap. While we know that the clan will evolve with time, our charter will always be our guide for making the appropriate changes. Should a time when amendments to the charter must be made, we will check this desire with certain questions. Some of the questions we may ask ourselves: Does the change in any way contradict our statement of faith? Does it harm the community at large? Will the change supplement our existing philosophy? Any changes to our policy must be reconciled with our values.

Sainthood is a clan that strives to impart a lasting memory upon those that join. We may not be your first clan, but we want to be your last clan. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that feels fresh, with the comfort of cozy familiarity.

Clan Charter: Article 2 - Heart

Section 1: Pillars of Conduct
These pillars are the primary lens by which we will judge Sainthood members for considerations like passing the trial period and advancing in rank. There is no perfect standard we could use to determine what makes a good clan member, as everyone is different, and people are complicated. However, this should help improve your understanding of what we are looking for in a clan member by serving as goalposts, which we all aspire to reach.

Character
Demonstrate goodwill towards your fellows in deeds and with words. Be forthright, honest, and sincere in all your dealings.

Community
Strengthen the bonds that tie us to each other. Build each other up and support each other in their times of need.

Mentorship
Guide others and help them grow. Be enriched as you enrich others.

Recruitment
Freely extend the invitation to others to join us with open hearts and hands. We are renewed by newcomers so that together, we can aim for still greater things.

Section 2: Rules
We make it a priority to keep the community positive and relaxed. Troublemakers who bring unnecessary drama will be removed without hesitation. Our rules will continue to evolve over time as we evolve. Our rules will be community driven.

1.) No excessive trolling - we enjoy banter and lighthearted jokes, but excessive trolling can get old fast. Trolls will be directed elsewhere.

2.) No spamming the chat or discord. Keep NSFW content out of the discord, using spoilers to hide them will not justify it.

3.) No harassing other members or trying to bait them into responding to passive-aggressive banter. As stated above, we love to joke around but there is a fine line. If you feel like you're being harassed, take a screenshot and DM a mod.

4.) You’re not allowed to share private content in our discord. Private conversations, including conversations between members, should not be shared unless all parties agreed to share them. You may share information with a mod+ if you fear the community's well-being is at risk.

5.) Account RS/Discord sharing warning - You will be held responsible for actions taken on your account, even if those actions were not done by you.

6.) Respect the individuals behind their computer screens.

Clan Charter: Article 3: Soul

Section 1: Orders
There are five main Orders within Sainthood. Orders can range in formality depending on the need. All ranks fall within one of these Orders. A member can rise through these bodies as they progress in rank to join Leadership. Or perhaps they find the right place for them somewhere in between and put down roots. There is a place for all here.
• Leadership
• Council
• Staff
• Veterans
• Membership

Section 2: Ranks
Here we clearly and succinctly define the roles, responsibilities, and promotion methodology for each rank. Ranks will align with the clan chat ranks in the game.

Leader
Responsible for the direction of Sainthood. This is the owner/deputy owner in the clan chat.

Leadership carries the highest authority in Sainthood overseeing the entire well-being of Sainthood. It is their responsibility to ratify any proposed changes to the Charter, which are brought to them on the advice of the Council.

As the founders of Sainthood, we believe we have ultimate responsibility for its integrity. This means we take an active role in its leadership. Where possible, we will look to delegate authority and responsibility to other members as they gain our trust. We view ourselves as servant leaders that must be models of good conduct, wise in our dealings, and, above all else, faithful followers of Christ.

Foundered Sainthood.

Advisor
Direct representatives of leadership. This is the overseer rank in the clan chat.

They have independent ownership of large-scale clan operations of their choosing. Also, coordinate with the leaders to advise the council on high-level decisions.

Leaders cannot and should not do everything. Advisors help share authority to maintain operations, mediate conflicts, and make decisions when leaders are not present.

Chosen directly by the leaders from the ranks of the council. There will be a maximum of two.

The leaders of Sainthood desire this to be an innovative clan, and it is our desire for the council to serve in this capacity by gathering, refining, and proposing ideas.
