Who is the Aegean Sea named after?
According to the tale of King Minos and the Minotaur, the Aegean sea was named after the Mycenaean King Aegeas. Before his son, Theseus, would embark on his journey to Knossos to slay the Minotaur, he gave him a white sail for the ship he would use to travel from Athens to Crete and back.

How fast is the speed of light in miles per hour?
The speed of light in a vacuum is 186,282 miles per second (299,792 kilometers per second), and in theory nothing can travel faster than light. In miles per hour, light speed is, well, a lot: about 670,616,629 mph. If you could travel at the speed of light, you could go around the Earth 7.5 times in one second.

Where does the black rose grow?
Called the Turkish Halfeti Rose, they only grow in exceptionally small numbers in the village of Halfeti, Turkey. They won't flourish anywhere else in the entire world because it's the river Euphrates that provides the ideal soil and growing conditions for the rose.

How fast does a nerve impulse travel?
The speed of these signals depends on how fast the exchange of charged ions is inside and outside of the cell membrane. The main ions involved are sodium, potassium, chloride, and calcium. Without going into details, I can say that messages in the brain can travel at speeds up to 268 miles/hour.

Someone once told me that

The banana fruit got its name after being sold wrapped in aluminum foil for 10 cents at the 1876 Philadelphia World Fair.
