Everybody is welcome in Ouija!

We have been around for a while and are currently rebuilding after our old leaders stopped playing the game. Ouija's members are all very friendly and ready to help out or just chat if that's what you're looking for. We really mean everyone is welcome! We are Main, Iron and HC Iron, Pure, Skiller, PVM, Questing friendly! However you want to play the game, you are free to do so in our clan. We have no hard requirements to join, visiting and capping at the citadel isn't required but it is always appreciated and is a good way to move up in the clan if you are interested in an admin position later on!

If you aren't sure if Ouija is a good fit for you, feel free to guest in our clan for as long as you need to and get to know people and see how it goes! We have guests in our chat from other clans who hop in every now and then. There's no pressure, if you don't want to join us today, you are always welcome back tomorrow! If you join another clan you but you enjoyed the social aspect of our clan, keep on guesting and we even have guests in our Discord if they request it.

What we offer

First of all, Ouija is a community based clan and always has been. We offer opportunities for players to get to know each other and be social. If you are having trouble with content, someone in the clan is always ready to help.

We are planning to host Mass PVM and Minigame events and Drop Parties once we we get the clan more active again.

We have an active Discord where you can show off your achievements, find players for group content, voice chat, stay up to date on events and updates and suggest ideas to make the clan more fun and inviting for everyone.

If you get a 99 or a drop, you can bet that a swarm of gz, Gratz and gzzzzzz are on the way. Which is the most important reason to join a clan! :P

How to Join

It's very easy!
:D Some clans make you go through an application process or verify that you meet their requirements. But our only real requirement is that you be respectful to your fellow clan mates. That being said you can join our guest chat "
Ouija
" and once you have decided to join just ask and we can get you added right away!

Maybe you're a bit too shy to jump right into a group chat, we understand that! If one on one messaging is easier for you then you can reply on this thread and we will contact you in game or you can PM one of our leaders or recruiters listed below in game and let them know you are interested.

Owner:

Deputy Owner:
Tinteal BTW

Admins:
RS Levi BTW, RS Brad BTW

Recruiter:
ZedsDeadPug

If you have any questions feel free to ask them!

Clan Rules

While we don't have any real requirements to join the clan, there are things that will get you removed from the clan. Don't worry though, most of it is pretty much RuneScape's rules that are already in place, so you should be okay! :P

Respect

We will not condone intolerance towards race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, religion, and/or personal beliefs.

This also includes but isn't limited to general problematic behavior, trolling, begging, asking for handouts or loans, hateful name calling, teasing, and sexual harassment.

Chat

We do not condone any form of a "heated discussion" in regards to politics and/or religion. It would be wise to refrain from taking part in these types of discussion in general, as they tend to end up being problematic.

The use of curse words is allowed, within reason. Don't purposefully abuse this right, use context.

No spamming!
Spam refers to a post/comment that is both meaningless and does not contribute towards a conversation. It can also refer to chat box flooding.

Reporting Abuse in the Clan

We want all members of
Ouija
to feel safe and welcome in the clan. With that being said, if you aren't feeling this way then please bring it up to one of our leaders so we can address it. Please never feel as if you need to leave the clan due to someone else's behavior, we'd rather deal with the problem than lose good members. You can let us know what is going via PM in game or on the clan's Discord.

This is not an exhaustive set of rules and all standard Runescape rules apply. Please use common sense if you are unsure if what you are about to say is appropriate or not. We want to avoid any possible drama and disruptions.

Rankings & Promotions

Below is a list of the rankings and a quick explanation of how the ranks can be achieved for anyone interested in moving up in the clan.

Recruit

All new members are automatically Recruits.

Corporal

Members can be promoted to this rank by following the rules, contributing in the chat or being in the clan for 1 month.

Sergeant

Members can be promoted to this rank by doing the things listed in the lower ranks in addition to helping out other players or being in the clan for 3 months.

Lieutenant

Members can be promoted to this rank by doing the things listed in the lower ranks in addition to being a more active player and making a noticeable impact on the clan's progress or morale.

Captain

Members can be promoted to this rank by doing the things listed in the lower ranks in addition to visiting and capping at the Clan Citadel regularly.

General

Members can be promoted to this rank by doing the things listed in the lower ranks in addition to showing an interest in being a higher ranking member and wanting to help the clan grow. This includes citadel upkeep and recruiting and being a role model for the lower ranks.

Players can rank up much faster by performing the tasks of the higher ranks before they would technically need to. For example, if a recruit is visiting and capping at the citadel often or finds a new member, they would move up quicker.

By performing tasks of the higher ranks you will get noticed and move up much more quickly. As far as becoming an Admin or higher rank, you will need to reach General rank and maintain your clan responsibilities and either inquire about moving up further or be approached by one of the leaders to be promoted further.

Looking for a more laid back clan?

A few of our newer recruits left their old clans because of how toxic they had become over time.
Ouija
was founded in 2016, I joined in 2017, and in the entire time I've been in the clan I have never witnessed any toxic behavior within our clan.

If you are in a similar situation or just looking for a change, check us out! Personally, I like hearing how people left a clan that made them uncomfortable or wasn't a good fit for them and how much more laid back and nice everyone is in our clan compared to their old clan. That is our goal to create a community where all the members can enjoy the game and interact with other players without toxicity.

I hope you will give us a chance, we can't wait to meet you! :)

The Clan History

Ouija
used to be a very active clan with about 500 members and a T6 Citadel. We worked with other clans to do PVM events and Mini-Games so there was always something to do. The clan was very alive, full of friendly people and there was no shortage of people willing to help out or just chat while you did AFK skills.

It was founded in 2016 and stayed very active until somewhat recently. The Owner, Deputy Owners and Admins had all stopped playing RuneScape to play other games, leaving the rest of the clan without leadership. As time went on, some members left the clan as they felt the leaders had abandoned it. Some quit playing the game or switched to OSRS or other games entirely. Our citadel degraded down to T1 and morale died down quite a bit, the chat got less active and for the most part, the clan was basically dead.

The New Ouija

Although a lot of members had given up on the clan or stopped playing, a few of the remaining members still played and would chat every now and then. Some of us got together and discussed how we missed when the clan was more active and wanted to recapture that. But we had all been in
Ouija
for several years, most of those years were very memorable and it felt wrong to leave and join a new clan.

We still had about 400 members, but most of them were inactive accounts, so we unfortunately had to do a purge to make room to recruit new members. At the time of writing,
Ouija
has around 150 members. With only a handful of super active players who visit the citadel every week and gather resources, we are currently only able to keep our Citadel around T2-T3. We don't require citadel maintenance, but we would like to find enough members who are willing to help us rebuild to where we were before.

The Social Aspect

Aside from trying to rebuild our citadel to it's former tier, we are also focused on re-building our community. We have some of the older members who are very comfortable participating in the clan chat and even a few new recruits who fit in right away. It is common for our newer recruits to not say much or participate in the citadel until they have been in the clan for a while, which we completely understand, getting used to a new clan with a lot of new players can be overwhelming for some.

We want to have a community where we have enough players with enough diversity in play style that someone could ask in chat if anyone wanted to go do a group activity and the chances of them finding someone right away would be high. We want members to feel comfortable asking for help and be willing to help others whenever they can. We want players to have the grinding that they put into their achievements acknowledged, by friendly and familiar players.

Most importantly we want everyone to play the game the way they want to and bring more players into the community so that they might find others with similar play styles who can help or join them in different types of content. If you join and you find that
Ouija
is the place for you, make sure to tell your friends or old clan mates who might be looking for something new. Again, everyone is welcome! :D
