First of all, sorry for the late response.
1) The probation during double xp is doubled because most people tend to do their high xp skills, like herblore, smithing, etc, in those weeks. Only upping the requirement by 25% would make is disproportionally easy to pass probation during those weeks. If you know beforehand that you are gonna be training slower skills on dxp, and you believe you might not make probation, feel free to apply after dxp has ended.
2) After passing probabtion there is no longer a required amount of monthly xp. You wouldn't run into trouble. However, we are a clan that always strives to get them maximum amount of xp. We have clanmembers going for trim all the time. As long as you plan on going for more gains after that, we might be a good fit.
3) No, but yes. Generally we don't. However, we have a lot of people wanting to join the clan. If we run into trouble with the cap, recent activity is one of the things we take into consideration when making space.
