Poop has absolutely no negative effects. It is there only should you wish to collect it. I would not recommend trying to keep every pen clean unless you feel the XP and/or manure gain is worthwhile also. Original message details are unavailable.
If the drop rates are too low, they will become the main source of animals, rather than breeding on the farm. RNG is never fun when it's not in your favour, but the prices of animals is coming down, so buying animals to make up shortfalls is slowly becoming more viable. We will continue to monitor drops rates, though, and may make some tweaks here and there. We are also considering what alternative sources we can add outside of combat.
