So i just made a f2p ironman and i have walked around in f2p worlds to see that most worlds are 200ish players, about 75% of the players, probably more, are bots. so easy to spot... seen hundreads of brand new accounts doing the holiday events, all bots

i just feel like there are not much actions taken against them... cant even mine iron for dorics quest i had to go kill dwarves for over an hour for 2 iron ores because i couldnt compete against bots with rune pickaxe.

i have been reporting them, over 100 a day and no actions are taken against them.. i feel like it would be easy for jagex moderators just to right-click perma delete bot accounts and ban like 1000 easy per day i could do the job myself if they would let me...

are the bot detecting methods that poor in 2023? whats going on? or are they now supporting botting because these accounts might bond/get membership eventually?

It is a battle that Jagex can never win, bless them, they actually do try but sadly to no avail.

You may read from time to time that Jagex put numbers out for us to read - "This week we have banned 67 thousand bots" we are tirelessly working towards making the game more enjoyable for you by removing this threat...

This threat Jagex want us to believe they are actively working on has only gotten worse over the years, so that "67 thousand bans" does not even scratch the surface lol.

Ffs, Jagex even once hired a top bot programmer who used to ply his dirty trade within the game he became an employee of and nothing changed.

Sadly it is just a thing you have to learn to live with and try to not let it get to you cos believe me mate.

Jagex aint gonna do shit about it cos they can't.

1k a day thats low amount to what they are banning currently (6k+ per day)

so if they did "nothing" it would be clearly worse than it is now

No, what if my brother does botting or something, he doesn't though, in fact i don't have a brother. But for those that do, why should anyone be punished from other family members stupidity?

what about ISP ban?

to protect the other players and game, maybe they could isp ban, then investigate on how many accounts are run on the isp and then use their judgement, if 100 accounts are running on a same isp its obviously not 100 siblings. would be easy to spot. and if there are 2 mains and 100 bots maybe ban all the bots and prevent people to create new account from that same isp.

E: im sure if they did isp bans your brother would think twice before doing it ;)
