Hi all.

Hoping someone can tell me wtf is up with the treasure totem piece from Big Game Hunter. Wiki says 1/50 drop rate, I've hit at least 75 completions and not gotten it yet...

Becoming increasingly frustrated with this as until i get the totem piece, BGH is the only activity i can do and this game has gone from Runescape to the worlds worst jurassic park simulator.

I do not want to spend the next week grinding a minigame for something that should have been dropped by now. I've literally gotten multiple farm dinos and a dragon mattock... but no totem.

wtf jagex? help me out here... what am i doing wrong?

Well, posting in forums seems to be worth it. i logged in for one more round and got my totem piece

You are assuming that chance has a memory. It does not.

Your chance remains 1/50 for every drop, irrespective of how many previous drops you have had.

rolling a 6 sided dice has a drop chance of 1/6 to get a 1. you can roll it 20 times and not get a 1.

post, all I need to do is roll a 1. I've rolled it about 1000 times and never hit 1. Wow man, wow! How come it didn't work give me it? It said a 1/1000 chance, not a "if I roll it 1000 times, I'm guaranteed to slay

I understand OP's frustration. Hence why totems need a threshold.

Considering the time Totems take to 'get' - IF you can get them? Yeah they need some buff or threshold.

With Ushabti you can buy - for the astronomical price of over 10 m now - the cursed ashes to help that Ushabti gathering along.

If there was such a thing to help Totems along I'd be willing to cough up some GP but for now? The Totem drop rate is ridiculous for the amount of time and effort you have to put into getting them.

But then ya'll know that.
