the funny part to this is the chance to win. I have been playing for many years on and off and pay when I can afford to do so. I have yet to win one gold box in any event. whether its a party hat or santa hat or any other decent item. it states the minimum is 200 pieces of paper to get a chance for a gold gift. and yet i usually trade in somewhere between 2k and 5k daily. and have yet to get even one gold gift in any event. it seems like if your not botting the heck out of the game or cheating the system in some unfair way. or not spending hundreds of rlm on this game you get squat. I would also like that one in a million chance to get one decent prize from one of these events. to me they play favoritisms for certain types of players. so yeah agree. holiday events are useless to participate in unless you kiss butt with jagex. knowing this rant is going to get me further away from ever receiving a decent prize from and event at this point I just dont care anymore [/darkorchid]“Games are the best entertainment because they take your mind off everything.[/darkorchid]

Such luck events favor botters who can get countless papers every day by botting.

Also I think that getting holiday item should reduce your chance of getting another one of the same item. And not getting holiday item should slowly increase your chance of getting it.

Because believe me, it was really-really annoying to see someone who even didn't participate in halloween event much but mostly just randomly clicked the pumpkins during skilling getting like 8 orange halloween masks in total, and after the event just discovering ensouled pumpkin mask from his bank (he didn't even notice getting it when clicking pumpkins). While I attended as many pumpkin parties as I could, I had even alarm clock set up to remind me when it was party time, plus I clicked countless pumpkins during skilling, and got nothing (only in the very end I got couple from treasure hunter).

These lame "events" are just time-wasting jokes aimed at the FOMO crowd.

I do not need all the pixels, so I ignore trash like this.

Do what you like. If wasting time trying to win a stupid pixel hat you almost certainly are not going to win is your idea of a good time, you do you.

When you do not win, I will see you here in Rants. I've been putting out fire with gasoline! ^_^

it just irks me that some people pay for membership each year and enjoy playing the game. only to see some noob or bot get most of the prizes from a holiday event. and then make crap loads of rs money on GE selling it. some things should be made untradeable in my opinion. there are plenty of ways to make money if you want to put time and effort into playing.
people that get multiple event items and brag over the fact that they got it without much effort make it hard for the ones trying to get one for just fun.
all I am saying just one holiday event I would love to get one rare holiday item. a lot like a small thank you for playing RS for so many years and participating in the holiday events even though some are really lame and make no sense. but yes I fall fault to trying to participate in them in hopes its my year to get one special item from an event. I dont believe it's luck has to do with anything it is a fn PAY to WIN on RS i dont care who dont agree with me cuz it is pay to win i aint won anything nothing from halloween event or anything i had to buy my ohaloween mask just to fn have it LIKE I SAID IT AINT ABOUT THE LUCK IT'S ALL ABOUT PAY TO WIN THAT'S ALL RS REALLY CARES ABOUT IS PEOPLE PAYING TO WIN LIKE ALWAYS ON HERE I DONT CARE IF U DISAGREE OR AGREE WITH ME OR NOT CUZ I KNOW IT IS ALL ABOUT THAT $ FOR RS END OF STORY GOOD BYE

so just because you havent won anything, you automatically go to its rigged?

the chances of winning is incredibly slim, you are most likely not going to get anything.

thats for sure. I agree with that. i have done all the events in hopes just once of getting a decent prize. i put in lots of time and take away from skilling just for that random chance of getting a decent prize. for what? to get disappointed yet again in the hopes that I would get one event prize to have. hope does not die for this gal. but disappointed has its limits.

i know there are several events through out the year but just once in all the years I have played I would like the oppurtunity to say to myself that hey jagex does not favor bots and people that just blow this game off. i would really like to think jagex is fair when it comes to holiday events.

that is basically what my rant is about. not the fact that it is luck or the fact that jagex seems to ignore people that do rant. but it is a perfectly legit rant that all the time and patience people take to enjoy the game. when a holiday event does come around that everyone has an equal chance. if you only need 200 wrapping paper for a chance for a gold gist and turn in 5000 then your odds should improve not diminish but that being said. I agree with other posts why take the time to waste time trying to do a holiday event when its never going to happen. maybe the less effort I put into the event i will get "luckier". wait until the last day of event and turn in wrapping paper or whatever is needed for that event. instead of daily.

Good rant, I have been playing on and off since the beginning, I am sick of losing out to bot players or favored players too, seems at the very least, paying customers should get the good stuff, see, getting the good stuff makes it fun, playing for hours and getting garbage makes people mad, and they leave, every time 10 ppl leave only 5 come back, soon its down to just the addicts. that's not a good game plan.
A while back jagex implemented a game tax on the ge to intentionally destroy game wealth, that developer should be fired, if they want to reduce ingame wealth , make the unobtainables more obtainable, that will fix the problem just fine, and make people happier to play, reintroduce all the expensive items of the past, let us trade mulled wines for Santa's of every color, make Santa take back his pudding and his potatoes and his minced pies and give out party hats instead.
While im at it, who ever thought up those phake phat and phake Santa hat emotes should also be fired, they were downright insulting as a prize, it was a slap in the face gag gift that should not be taken lightly, they should be tradeable for the real item for those of us who will never use them.
That's the only fix left at this point, make Santa stand out in front of his house, and apologize for the phake emote presents and exchange them for the real items. I would bet that would make players happy.
Or an outlandish idea, that would instill some fun, make bags of dog crap we can light on fire on Santa's doorstep, that'll make it fun.
I was playing for every Santa open house and the raw anger and hate displayed at losing and getting garbage was on full display , I was telling folks that anger management was outside and to the left to try and lighten the mood, but people were noticeably mad at what has come to be known in my RS circles as the Jagex Scrooge Job Event.

Over all it was a bad time and I would like a portion of my money back for the loss of enjoyment and disappointment.

No it aint about luck in R.S. It's all about PAY TO WIN if u dont PAY to win u dont win shit i aint won nothing from Halloween,Fn christmas event or anything so No it aint about luck it's all about the money u spend to jagex to win anything i aint payed for anything for any event and just go's to show hey NO PAY guess what u dont win shit on R S how i FEEL and i bet there's others out there just like i am so NO it aint about luck so stop trying to use that cuz it aint
