Mining rework comes out, onyx prices drop due to gem rocks giving them. They patch out the gem rocks giving onyx to save the price. I check the price today on the wiki, near alch (actually 20k UNDER going by wiki as i type). Look at price timeline, oh it started going down around July 2021. What came out then? Elder Troves and apparently a FLOOD of them. ya thats fine though, skillers arent the ones getting these things so no need to worry about it right? Definitely NO afk content being used to get these things.

Onyxes are not all that uncommon as a drop from Croesus - which is of course a boss for skillers.

indeed it shouldnt matter especially as this is a skilling boss

which is what op is wanting something for skills to make money

I don't think the solution to there being too much onyxes is to introduce even more onyxes to the game. youre quite right, which is why they took away the prif ones. but apparently they decided to say fuck it and added them anyway to other content. content which has NO requirements beyond high combat or a collection of skills for croseus. ya the whole elven quest chain is nothing to no quests at all.

pretty much the only source of troves i can really rely on is the water filtration system in the het oasis. and im not even saying remove the onyxes from the troves either, but its almost as bad as saying masterwork only needs materials from mining to make, but needs 12 leather. been asking wheres a cow rock for years.
