Let me explain what I mean by "update"
First some detail:
- I have an mobile device that was launched in 2013, about the time osrs came out, if my memory still serves me well
- When mobile came out this device with iOS12.x.x was capable to run this without any issues but now it requires iOS13
- Was the whole point of OSRS not to go back "to when it was still great"?
- I have been playing Runescape since about 2005, the early version now known as RS3 As I was disappointed with continual updates then, making the game faster and easier with brilliant graphics that didn't interest me, so I went for the option to play OldSchool as an Ironman as it is close to what I remember RS to be that I liked playing with my family in the past
In the meantime there were some tech issues with OSRS Mobile that needed addressing causing updates, nothing wrong with that imho
However, as always ppl had questions, requests and wishes to make the gameplay easier again and there lies afaIac the problem As time went by features were developed and added to the game like colourful outlines when you click on something to confirm it to mention one I suspect that it's those kind of updates causing the app to be in need of more computing power requiring ever faster machines, it's those updates that I am talking about
Point is that this version of RuneScape would run at the time on a Pentium based PC with hardly any memory! Top Notch in those days perhaps but compared to now very light compared to now With all the non-essential updates it is hardly the same game as at the starting point of OldSchool, is it
So the question remains
Kind regards,
hollancl and, naturally, the old 5pannerman
