Pure F2P player here.

Never gotten lucky on the treasure hunt, I usually only get member stuff and useless things that I end up converting into oddments.
Recently passed the 75k oddments threshold.

Now, for the first time ever I get an interesting purple prize of 50M... That I can't claim as I'm not P2P. I don't wan't to be P2P, I enjoy my game enough as it is.

Why would I have to pay a bond 70M+ or using real money to get 50M ?
I get that it prevents the farming of F2P keys but come on, this is bs.

What are the odds of getting a purple, and how would Jagex not find out if someone's creating multiple accounts to farm keys ?
How hard is it to create requirements like in-game time / stats / etc ?
Why punish all the player base for having a flawed system ?

Guess this 50M will sit there until I've had enough of the F2P world...

I realize that, but in this specific case this is less about getting people to buy a membership than an ugly fix to a flaw they implemented without thinking about the consequences.
I remember that when spinning arrived, you could get 200M without being member.
People have exploited it because there was no requirements to use the spinning. I don't know, quests / achievements / total level / total play time...

If they truly want to encourage people to subscribe to a membership, at least let them use this 50M to buy bonds, and not the other way around because it's a loss. Someone who truly wants to go P2P will buy that bond with the 50M.

Of course, one can spend 75M to buy and use a bond, collect the 50M and be down only 25M, and make more money in P2P.
But there is also a community of people who enjoy playing F2P. I have bonds, it's not a problem if I decide one day to go P2P, but this is frustrating to be rewarded F2P content and be forced to pay to get it.

So yes, I'll convert this 50M into 850 oddments, so basically a value of 10M that I won't use :
Original message details are unavailable.

An oddment can be valued at 11,714 based on the Grand Exchange value of a bond, a bond converting to 15 keys and keys being valued at 400 oddments.
