This has been an issue for a long time and has yet to be addressed, nor have I seen it mentioned by players. The player animations, such as Zombie Walk override, and player pets, such as Gillbert are so loud and annoying to hear all the time. There is no way to disable the sounds without muting the entire game. I WOULD mute the entire game, but I rely on audio cues a lot in bossing and skilling. I propose a settings in the audio settings to adjust the volume of player/pet animation sounds. This would include things like emotes, walk overrides, and pet sounds.

IDK why they never do anything about the sound. It's one of those things that can't be explained.

Other than those common annoyances, most combat is just endless screeching, howling, slobbering and croaking.

Can anyone involved in that calm down for 1 second? Hidden underneath there is a sound that I find useful. Maybe some day I will figure out what it is. :p

I agree. I would like to mute player combat as well, especially when I am skilling at the G.E. and all I hear is people dueling. I still want to socialize with others, so moving to a less-populated world isn't the solution for me!

Here is a suggestion I made. I think this would do the trick. Separate all the sounds and let us filter it how we want.......

1. Environment sounds. All the birds chirping, dogs barking, water splashing.

2. Other players. Any sound related to other players.

3. Vocal combat reactions. NPC and player.

4. Skilling sounds that indicate success.

5. Skilling sounds that are played during the action.

6. Musical jingles. This includes the GE indicator and a new brief playing of music when you enter a new area. Like it shuts off after 15-30 seconds or so.

I guess we all have our pet peeve sounds.

I enjoy sounds on RS but the one i cannot stand is the mewling of cats.
That is just so annoying.

Overall, i dont think people should be made to listen to other peoples sounds .. pets, combat and the like, unless they want to hear all of it.

I play with sounds on. But even I would love to shut other peoples pets off while i listen to my own.
