Do you remember the time when the skilltab had 1 pixel that was not aligned with the rest and Jagex fixed it in no time? Boy were they HARDCORE back then, they loved this game more than they loved themselves, and noone had to do anything bad or they would feel the ban hammer, however..
Do you also remember the time when you would be playing the game legit and somehow ended up out of bounds due to poor Java programming, you would PM a Jagex mod to get unstuck but you would get instantly banned for cheating and blamed, only to be unbanned hours later with apologies from another Jag mod? I know for a fact, i am not the only one.
Do you also remember you could not tell someone about old mechanics which are no longer in game because you would get banned for encouraging other people to cheat?
Do you also remember you couldn't play on your laptop if you brought your laptop over to a few friends houses because even though they were super engaged with the community back then, they wouldn't talk to you but would just outright ban you for account sharing, then unban you and give their apologies?
Only to be then made into a Pmod?
What happened? Why did they stop giving a flying fig?
That freaking untextured tree patch in varrock is turning me inside out, not the mention every freaking herb patch moves like 2 pixels to the west when you plant/harvest a herb
And some people their names.... Back in the day we didn't even dream about filter evasion, the game was 300x more hardcore back then, everything was 300x more grindy, people who actually loved this game would wet their pants if they tought they had done something wrong, they did not want to lose their account...
I just came back after a decade, i'm not aware of wether or not they have an editor tool but plenty of camel dung around that doesn't require an editor tool
I wasn't planning on writing such a long text and ranting about it though
