15+ year veteran here. I'm now in my 30's and the *only* thing I do in game is PK. By removing PKing, they will basically ruin what's left of the game I enjoy. I will probably quit for good once the Wildy update is effective and never give Jagex one more penny. Damn shame.

I'm personally not thrilled with what has been announced so far either. I think they need to gather more information on what players want before committing to updates like this. Don't get me wrong, it'll be better than what we currently have, but that's about it. It certainly doesn't inspire me to venture into the wilderness from what I've read. We need exclusive rewards only obtainable via the wilderness, for one, increased slayer exp just doesn't cut it.

For such a vast area, they could add a few skilling zones at least. Increased resource gathering rate (the obvious appeal); risk gathering there similar to what we do with bloodwood trees. High risk high reward, that's what the wilderness should be about, in all facets. Bob says:
A bank PIN will keep your items secure.
Always check the second trade screen.
Never trade in the Wilderness!
Keep your computer keylogger-free and virus scanned.
Never give your password out to anyone.

Well, the Bounty Hunter Weapons, ancient warrior's equipment patch, wilderness hilt and so on are certainly unique rewardds to wilderness. Not sure if that is enough but there are things obtainable only in the wildy.

I have a feeling this Wildy update will disappoint, if not enrage, pretty much everyone.

On the bright side, the patch notes during the following weeks should be interesting. :P

No new slayer monsters, no wildy boss, just old content moved to wildy :s

I guess its safe to say they could have just added a few chickens to wildy and call it WILDERNESS REBORN! It would still be better and less dead then it already was.

How about a vulcano that once encountered will send out waves of monsters to destroy Gielinor, you have to stop all monsters before Gielinor is lost for ever!
At the end of the waves you will have to fight some kind of vulcano boss :)

Could have been so nice lol.

But no. Imagination is more important than knowledge.
