These last few Yak Tracks have been horrible.
I quit a year ago because of how horrible some of the skilling tasks are.
At my woodcutting level I can only cut Magic Logs.
Magic Logs are horrible to cut without the right setup and boosts.
Fishing is nearly as bad given the most efficient for me is Beltfish but that is also shared between Catfish and Desert Sole.
And Mining right now.... Bane Ore.
600 of the damned things.
Last time I did the Bane Ore one it took me 5 hours and I even finished all my books while doing it.
Make everything XP based rather than "Gather xxx of these" or make it work from lower level resources like Acadia so on so forth.
Sure it's an excuse to do some skilling, but when your only option is the highest, most difficult resource to gather makes it such a hassle.
A lot of people complain about the Firemaking and Cooking ones too because they can only burn Elder Logs and the like.

Well the reason I'm here is because World of Warcraft is so inhospitable.
At least here on Runescape I'm not bound by content I cannot do without the help of others who frankly don't want to do it.
And I do like the overall concept of the Yak Tracks.
It's direction when you are bored and don't know what to do.
But some of the tasks are far too grueling at higher skill levels.
Marks of War from the earlier ones were doable.
But needing 600 Magic Logs?
Too far.

The main thing is they need to sell skip tokens, so a big part of that is making some of the tasks so bad that nobody would do them.

A lot of the tasks can be done quickly using items from TH. I always keep a store of proteans, dwarven tools and skilling dummies for the Yak. For the Archaeology ones I gather items in advance and just convert them to XP.

I never really understood woodcutting. Anything from maple and above is so slow that I struggle to stay awake. Bamboo on Waiko is great for these tasks though, so it's actually a reward for gaining higher levels. Also, magic log divine locations are great.
