Yes i did , but apparently did not reach 15 points..

if you didnt reach 15 points then well you didnt unlock it. sucks but thats way it is.

same with any game

In any other game they sell these kind of aura in a shop 24h a day every day of the year or you get it as a reward when you've leveled up, no matter what day it is. In this game however they give one such aura in 20 years during Christmas to a select group of players.

not everything will be this is one of them. its an ingame item only it seems. maybe later it be on oddments store who knows.

but either way if you didnt do enough to unlock it. then well yeah you dont have it. simple

I understand the logic behind that, but that's not really the spirit of Christmas.
Most of us did not get a gold present, no green santa costume parts and no portable snowfall aura...

Yes the spirit of Christmas, like how it used to be. We did a simple quest and all of us got the reward! But no this has become slightly different. Now we can grind for weeks for paper, log in multiple times (even with log in problems), play treasure hunter and still not get any of the nice rewards. One of those nice rewards is not too much to ask i would think, so please give all of us the portable snowfall aura? Just think about how many players would be happy with this.

thats an odd thing to quit about. but i guess thats your choice if you really want to quit over not having an event item, not is barely used by people
