I am trying to login to an alt account from a couple years ago but I forgot the password. I went to recover it but forgot the email. I recovered the email pass and now it keeps saying attempts blocked, try again in an hour.... I only tried twice and I waited an hour and tried again only to get the same message. Why does Jagex have to lock you out of password recovery after 1 failed attempt....

That could have multiple reasons. Does it give any message? I have my username and pass but if i try to log in/sign in normally with the correct username and pass.. it just reloads the sign in page, that is the page were you choose how to sign in... 8 or 9 out of ten times when i use my tablet. If i use my phone however it happens 'only' 1 out of 10 times.

I was doing it on runescape website on my laptop. It said blocked due to too many attempts in a short period. Problem is it said wait an hour and try again, I waited over an hour, tried again, and got same message.

Hmm ok i think you'll be able to sign in/log in half an hour or so.
