You guys are absolutes jokes when it comes to developers. Every raid is nothing more than a DPS check mixed with a little mechanics. Simple mechanics at that. The ONLY way this game is difficult is if your RNG is absolute shit and you get one hit after 30 minutes of straight golden gaming. No recovery mechanics. Just a simple one hit while you attempt to avoid three or four attacks at once. It would be one thing if that was the end of the problems, but in this game it's just the beginning. Once you beat the shit RNG of the raids you are faced with the shit RNG of the drops. This game is just like poker. It takes a little, tiny, miniscule amount of skill and a shit ton of luck to have any consistency. Save your time maxing because end game content is absolute ass.

Have you watched the 15 year documentary? It's a good watch, but in case you missed it, the Gower brothers (original creators of RuneScape) were in there. They talked about how, as kids, they played a lot of tabletop/board games and the fact that they wanted to make a computerized graphical point-and-click adventure based on those experiences. They did just that.

A little skill and a lot of luck on the roll of the dice is just about exactly what RuneScape was meant to be from time the brothers put pens to paper and fingers to keyboards.
