AKA filling out marketing surveys for Runescape. To even get through requires extensive knowledge of all forms of gaming, including hopscotch and marbles.
First stage is hot lights interrogation. They want every detail of your account. Which is information they already have. So, it seems like a credibility test. The problem is I don't care enough about my own information to enforce accuracy.
TBH it is boring, I want to talk about the game. Next stage? Talk about every game OTHER than Runescape. Like all of them. Even unreleased demo versions. I had to Google several entries and then use my imagination to decide what the game is based on a screenshot.
Luckily I have extensive knowledge of Google, so I was able to get past that part. Finally Runescape, and I guess it was which games we want to be remade in a RS style, and which games could be included inside RS?
I can say whatever, but if it requires engine work count me out. No way, no how. That's my new standard, and #1 question.
Of course social media is included, because it is such a hot topic. I wonder what their definition of using social media is. Lurking was mentioned later so I will go with that.
An interesting part is offering yourself up to be contacted about your survey. I'm actually curious who would be making the contact if it occurred? Not curious enough to volunteer.
Overall, as an unbiased observer, it felt like they are recruiting game experts to join Discord. If I find any, I will be sure to send them along.
I've done several of these over the years, and most of it seems useless. Like, they didn't use this same information from 5 years ago! It would be awesome if they could get to the point.
