Necromancy is the evolution of fresh start worlds, just bulldoze it and start over. EOC is finished. There is a pattern to make all the new content so much better than the previous that you would be a fool to do anything else.

Like we got stackable bowstrings, but the method to gather them is better than using the bowstrings. That's progress.

Almost every update is an example of this, and most of them feed into the combat system and rely on it for making gold.

That's all about to spiral down the drain because even if this combat is bad, millions of people will be playing it exclusively for several months or forever. Just to train it and move through the story.

You KNOW it will be balanced over everything, because the devs will be eager to deliver and make it a success. So the imbalance is guaranteed. It will be so good that nobody will look back.

You see it all the time, players say they just use whatever combat is best, even selling their gear to switch.

At the same time, it's still the same monsters and bosses to be dealt with. I'm no economist, but I'm pretty sure this could cause some legit problems. Especially since the focus of the entire game was to constantly boost EOC.

I've been working through the vids and one of them made me laugh. The host was asking about visual and audio cues and their example is when you release the souls the sound is amplified if you release all of them at once.

All I can think of is, instead of going 'whooosh' we are upgraded to 'WHOOOSH!'

It's gonna be some airy annoyance that chips away at my tolerance and concentration, just like the prayer renewal/holy overload.

I went through and isolated some of the sounds that annoy me during combat. The end result is no sound. I can't filter enough to avoid eventual headaches. I always thought the combat did that, but it's just part of the equation.

Even better, in the video I am referring to, the background music is louder than the dev voices, so I needed to use closed caption. I wonder if that was making a point? lol

i dont know what trend you are talking about, all i wanted to know was what you are talking about

is this just stuff that hasnt happened yet and you think it will?

im unsure what it is you are ranting about (by looks of it, everyone else is too, or at least the ones that have posted)

but i guess by looks of it i havent missed much, so ill go back to the way it was.

It's combat. The comparison to FSW is that they wanted us to abandon our accounts for the celebration. The evolution of that idea is to abandon EOC.

EOC could have been fixed. The problem as I see it is manual combat and revo ++, which allows for ridiculous AFK combinations using ultimates.

Try telling the player base that.

Jagex found a great way with their new bulldozer tactics. Let EOC sit there and make basically a new game inside Runescape. It's future-proof because it's just combat. There is plenty of stuff to fight outside of the skill/town/quests for Necromancy.

Take away the summoning part of it, and it looks just like magic combat. I'm fine with that because the current form of magic is weak, relying on animate dead and FSOA gimmicks.

This new combat promises a lot of the features that many players showed approval for, such as the removal of hit chance and more powerful basic attacks.

Only problem is there is nothing to say about it until we get to try it. Any questions I might possibly have are math problems, questions of balance. And we can assume they are going to make it strong because it is the new toy.

Another part of this is they probably made the right decision on making it a skill, because a lot of the current skills are in a complete state. They don't NEED any more updates.

With Necromancy, all the related content, and the community "hit" list they are booked through the end of the year.

Maybe at that point they will be looking to fill in those remaining holes for the existing skills. I got my own idea for that bulldozer now, Jagex done inspired me.

One thing is for sure, you can't bulldoze DG. They thought ahead and hid it deep underground.

But it makes me wonder what are they going to do after all that? Gotta start thinking about the NEXT skill yeah?
