Necromancy is the evolution of fresh start worlds, just bulldoze it and start over. EOC is finished. There is a pattern to make all the new content so much better than the previous that you would be a fool to do anything else.
Like we got stackable bowstrings, but the method to gather them is better than using the bowstrings. That's progress.
Almost every update is an example of this, and most of them feed into the combat system and rely on it for making gold.
That's all about to spiral down the drain because even if this combat is bad, millions of people will be playing it exclusively for several months or forever. Just to train it and move through the story.
You KNOW it will be balanced over everything, because the devs will be eager to deliver and make it a success. So the imbalance is guaranteed. It will be so good that nobody will look back.
You see it all the time, players say they just use whatever combat is best, even selling their gear to switch.
At the same time, it's still the same monsters and bosses to be dealt with. I'm no economist, but I'm pretty sure this could cause some legit problems. Especially since the focus of the entire game was to constantly boost EOC.
