I happen to enjoy Fish Flingers. It's actually much easier to do solo than with other players. Yes, it involves tallying up what has already gone by, but not everyone needs a computer or pen and paper to do this.

I went back to refresh my memory, and gain a little progress. It's even worse than I remember. I upgraded my pencil to a pen and it still didn't help.

My brain does not want to participate. There is nothing I can do about that. There are way more important and useful tasks that take priority.

As a game, the game should indicate which of the selections were used successfully. Like a little check mark. Or a giant blue arrow. Something game-like.

The game is acting out of character, it is behaving like a textbook exam. And the subject matter is only useful for the exam.

I also remember playing it as a group back in the day, and it was the opposite. You just share your hint in the chat and someone fills out a chart and they are all solved before you can even do anything.

Not much satisfaction in that either.

I can appreciate this as there are things in the game that I do not wish to participate in too. However, instead of insisting that these things be removed from completionist requirements, I have come to accept that I am not completing the game by avoiding this content, therefore why should I be entitled to obtain the cape?

An upgraded interface to keep track of combinations would be ideal. It may even help players - that don't already do so - understand the mechanics.

If it's that bad you should ask the devs to improve it. That's not really happening so next step is to remove or delete it.

That's why I have voted several times to remove the completionist capes.

why should something be removed because a few dislike it. why is their opinion worth more than the few who enjoy it.
leaving as is (keeping it) is the default. if the reason was to remove was more than just "some people dislike it" then sure it maybe worth removing. but if its just 'i dislike it' definitely not a good reason to remove.
