Let me start with a little bit of SEO, to encourage strangers on google to find this post.
TH Promo, Assassin walk token, Assassin Promo, Treasure Hunter, Promotional offers online, RNG predictions, Should I buy keys?
Firstly, if you're a purist and you believe that the only reason this game is alive is because of the grandfather rates of your membership from 2004, please find another post.
This game, is funded primarily by promotions, bonds, key events and smart marketing, the drip release of old promos and the incentive of unlocking items that a small corrupt minority of the game decide to make inaccessible for others through holding, buying mass and lifting prices.
- Okay, this happens everywhere, its business.
That being said, I actually fund multiple accounts, for friends, family and I actively encourage people to get involved in games that I play. I love the lore, I love the cosmetics, the content is getting better and the mechanics are actually quite fun to work with.
My rant is probably more aimed at soft caps.
If for example a player buys x amount of keys, in x amount of promos, naturally in other games that player would be given an RNG advantage, or something to justify the money. I recently read the TH promo was nerfed a while back for encouraging online gambling.
So my question to Mr Marketing, where is the value for the money I have invested into the game?
Why is the forum centralised on a website away from the official forums to navigate away from players adding content to Runescape itself, it seems like a huge ploy to avoid negative comeback.
Why is there no hard cap on promos, where a guarantee of a cosmetic is granted, say after x amount of keys. The balance of the game is that some get things early and are lucky, and ultimately it is supposed to balance out.
I honestly robbed, I whole heartedly feel like the money I have put onto promos, has just been taken and the value return is like gambling. Please do not fall for it.
