Have to say I agree re the emotes--I would have preferred they be tradeable, so someone who wants them can have them. I have them all and don't want them, lol.
The two biggest fails are the drop rate for the two big items, AND that the key track was changed mid-event. I saw a lot of people steamed over that. had I received either hat, I probably would have sold that too (my classic santa is my treasure, especially after having gotten WAY unbalanced in woodcutting and fishing years ago to earn the 30M to buy it, back before there was a GE and you had to stand around a bank screaming what you had to offer before going back and grinding some more, lol).
Still shaking my head over making so many vintage untradeables available for clicks and grinds. Thanks loads for making them common belt notches, powers-that-be.
Something else I noticed while spending weeks chasing the dragon through the dailies and wrapping paper etc: The omnis kept that engagement up for all the dragon-chasing of the hats, etc.
I'm thinking of years ago, pre-stringy (which was a nice way to update an old rare--make it easy to get, but make it different enough that the original marionettes are still rare and wondrous. Stringy just follows, the others can be PLAYED with), when to get multiples of the marionette, or hats and scarves, you did the fun simply Christmas activity and just got them, as opposed to having to do everything to get all the pieces.
I like the storage aspect of the omni, but what a lot of daily activity over weeks to get it all! Served its purpose of keeping people engaged and still trying, trying! for the brass rings.
I wonder what vintage rare will be permanently commonized next year, while we chase the newest unobtainable gift to the billionaire class? Happy New Year everyone!
