From the way the news post is worded the earned rewards will be taken away from everyone that earned the buffs to.It says we get to keep them till event ends so guess that is a lie by the mods then if they are being removed next week.Do the people with the buffs get anything in return most likely not.

Yeah makes no sense that they would remove the buffs because people are whining about it. If you dont like the Hero Pass, then dont complete it? Really dumb. It is not affecting you if you dont play the Hero Pass. They just want something to complain about. Jagex will never be able to do anything right because the player base is stuck in the past.

They just don't understand. First off, I already earned those buffs. Whatever changed, it has nothing to do with me.

2nd, the protest was because you could buy the buffs. Presumably with skips.

If they are taking away the ability to buy skips, then why should I be punished?

3rd, I am now pressured to get what I can before they are removed.

Congratulations on the pressure reduction theories. They are working well, for both sides. :P

What about the feeling of being devalued that comes from having something you earned in game being taken away from you?

They can't refund something I didn't spend money on.

I liked my charges of Fort Artisan. They were a nice little extra, earned through normal gameplay (i.e. not Premier), and I was looking forward to using them as I work my way through the tier 3 upgrades to my fort.

If I could, in these last few hours that I have these charges, I'd be using them and stockpiling the magic/elder frames I'm going to need - but the reason I haven't used them in the past week is because I'm still working on my woodcutting & construction levels. Until last Friday, I thought I had 3 months to get those levels.

And now I'm losing the unused charges. There's no refund applicable when it's something you earned that is taken away from you.

I'm glad somebody else is on the same page. I thought something was wrong with my head, ya know, not caring as much as everyone else with their pitch-forks. The announcement / timing / phrasing, etc. is one thing, but the hero-pass itself? -shrugs- I liked it. Poor execution on the lead-up (or lack of), but content-wise? a good update IMO. I probably wouldn't have ended up using 90% of the buffs, but they were nice to have; it gave me more incentive to experience parts of the game I hadn't before. I miss daily challenges, but only because they're overpowered. That's all people are crying about, they want easy-scape. Jagex is a business and they need to monetise things. Hero Pass is optional, nobody is being forced to play it.

If people are truly bothered about 'greed', I understand, but how is HP any different to Yak? (people bought their way through that, didn't they? for exp buffs). What gives? At the end of the day we don't get a say on what other people spend their money on. They're helping support this game. Does it cause an unfair advantage? sure, but so does regular membership.
What about premier, with the +10% exp buff for 1hr, why's there no whining about that? I'm being rhetorical, of course, players don't really care about all that. This drama is all about the announcement, people feeling cheated or manipulated for profit. The rest is filler / junk. These players aren't bothered about integrity or the future success of RS, only themselves. They just want their easy-scape back. 5 mins work for 100k exp and 3 keys, repeated across however many alts. Bob says:
