Is it just me, or am I so completely inept that I cannot kill Blink on the Dungeoneering warped floors, no matter what?

I get it. He runs only north and east, so it should be relatively easy to position myself to pop the correct pillar.

Only...by the time I pop the (correct) pillar, he runs right over it and I get belted for half of my max lifepoints.

Every other dungeoneering boss I've encountered I can handle no problem, but it's to the point now where I just X the client window and reload if I see that boss room appear.

And no, this isn't hard mode. It's a normal mode 1 person solo run.

Nope, not just you, Blink is a pain.
There are quite a few guides if you do a search, but I've always found him really difficult.

Here's the absolute best part about Blink. Why does everyone take so much damage? A bug so old that dinosaurs know it by name.....

From the wiki:

"While he is still running, it is recommended to pray Protect from Missiles or Deflect Missiles; despite the attack dealing magic damage, these will reduce the damage more than Protect from Magic and Deflect Magic, which is a glitch. "

The secret is to watch for his yellow dot to appear on the minimap. This boss follows a pattern where the more you try, the harder it is. Basically just stand there and wait for him.

If I were to make a quick guide.

1. bring food to tank the blasts.
2. pray ranged
3. stay on the side where you entered, and go to the right hand corner. Stand between the 4 pillars in the corner.
4. Watch for the yellow dot and click the farthest pillar. After a couple rounds you should have enough time to click the 3rd pillar if you want.
5. Just stand there and repeat. Attack him quickly when he is stunned.

To be clear, you want to be in the corner he is headed to and wait. IF he only goes north and east then you want to be in the northeast corner. In my case it was a right hand turn upon entering. IDK if that changes.

sure, i believe if i remember correctly. standing in NE is easiest corner (one square off the pillar) then you only have to worry about 3 pillars. (the ones you are next to) only raise it when needed dont just panic click

he only travels north to south

and west to east so standing ne is best place

when he says "h... here it comes" run behind a pillar quickly and then trigger it to block the special

its pretty much just that.
