This can't be the first time it has happened. I went to the mining event and I am the only player there.

A runecrafter drifted too close for about one game tick and they were added to the requirement for completion.

Of course I ended with 111/115.

My question is, why is the event so close to the RC wizard? If it was all 5 tiles north, everything would be cool. Is there any reason the NPC needs to wander so far, or at all? Can they get a bench?

I ain't going back until they do something about that pesky wizard. Stay in your zone dude.

Good feedback, they could probably move it to avoid this sort of thing happening in future. Bob says:

Given how little Jagex looks into this forum, maybe you should put this in the existing game content feedback forum? I'm certain you will get a lot of support for this there - maybe poke a friend fmod to move it via forum help? :-)

I agree btw, move this event a little north more to make it less likely to be bumped up by rune-runners. Things may be looking down now, but I see a light at the end of the tunnel;
Do you think I should get off the tracks?

It's a complicated situation. Personally, I doubt they are even interested in this topic. They seem to have been saying the player experience is our responsibility, and not theirs.

I completely disagree, and that points straight to the foundation of how they are making this game. A lot of issues can and should be resolved in the concept stage.

From appearance, it seems like the individual developers are gathering player experience feedback on their own, and using some unknown formula to prioritize it.

So from that POV I won't rule out the possibility that an individual might read this forum.
