This is one thing the game has been lacking. There is no real bad guy to warrant an emotional reaction. There is no El Guapo for the people to rise up, endure and overcome.

They made a perfect bad guy Sliske.
He died 5 minutes later

That's not really the point though. Bots were a common enemy. Rally the troops, bot bust. Great morale. Everyone hates them.

DG was a common enemy, in many ways. Rushing floors, weapon hunting, lots of cooperation outside of the actual focus of completing large dungeons. I think Divination falls under this category, but it's too insignificant to cause any reaction.

Mostly though, the game, MTX and developers are the common enemy. They make it this way, and don't really seem interested in changing it. Which is so strange to me. Especially when they seem to also be wanting more praise for their efforts.

Even more, when the coach is always saying the right things that is throwing the team under the bus. Just like with any sport. We want to run the football, we invest heavily in that, bring in the best people available, and yet we never improve at it. At some point words and results don't match up, so you question the actions.

What is my point? They should divert the heat back INTO the game and not onto or about it.

Spacegirl Reva, Moia and high HP LOL-Demons are little more than a nuisance. I literally do not care what happens to any of them. I saw a mention of a coronation. I will gladly help with that since Saradomin clearly left me in charge. That was a deleted scene, told from my POV.

Public relations, clarity. The most common enemy right now is premier club and when does it expire? The game knows but it won't tell anyone. It's the beginning of a revolution.

People demand answers and the game is like no, you will find out when your extra daily key goes POOF.

Man, I just had the most intense vision. Coronation/circus in progress. Explosions fireballs. The screen shakes. People complain to the FCC. That's Sliske's music!

But no! It's Hazelmere!?!

Turn all those pretenders into dust. Random bystander/ sith expert delivers necessary exposition. Our boys light and dark handle the introduction. The game is instantly back on track.

Instead we are more likely to get 4 demons spawning near Falador who will shake their fist at any passersby.

I always felt Zammy was the bad guy, ever since I joined the game almost 20 years ago. There are plenty of baddies, lawful evil, neutral evil, chaotic evil. As for MTX, its another revenue stream for Jagex and they need cash to operate. We should want them to be a successful company, we've invested a lot of hours into our accounts. If you don't want to buy keys, don't, let others do that (if they want to) and don't compare yourself to them. The day I stopped playing RS3 'competitively' was very liberating, I suggest you try it. Compete with yourself, set goals, achieve them, be inspired, set goals IRL and do the same. It's a single player game that you play alongside others (that's how I see it). Keep your sanity! Bob says:

One might say I have a plethora of El Guapos. I gathered more detail, straight from the source: IMDB......

Lucky Day: In a way, all of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be *the actual* El Guapo!

El stop'o the spam'o

Jk.

I think I know what you mean by this ultimate bad-guy (or girl) thing, I think there are those, it's just not one person responsible. There are a bunch of characters and races fighting over things that'll give them power or control over others. Hegemony is a common theme. Also I agree Sliske is a great character and I really enjoyed the build up to all that. I hear they are starting a new chapter, new age perhaps, so you might not have to wait long for a new villain.

Well, that is an amazing contribution to the topic. Why would you be trying to tell me what to do? 12 times?

I don't need any advice such as that, I am sending feedback specifically about the game. Very important feedback related to the business. Something that can occur alongside the precious MTX.

Honestly, you are right to some degree. Back in the day PVP/minigames would bring that mentality as players would go into battle and get heated within in the game *created a new atmosphere for the players that nothing else in the game provided, in many, many different ways*

RS3 has become very dull, the story it's trying to push onto the players just won't cut it. I'm not saying it's bad but it's not enough to go against other company's that are 1000000490380982309% more invested in their game and actually supply all the content that is generally supplied in games now adays.

PVM lovers on RS3 can shout that people don't want minigame/PVP content in RuneScape all they want, but at the end of the day if you look at any successful community game *if not the most successful games* they all supply it in some degree.

To conclude, Jagex still doesn't want to invest in PVP and minigames for RS3, instead they are going to try to encourage players to make multi accounts and drive them to spend more $ on the game in that way. They are going to invest in more story/lore and continue on the PVM trend they always have been for the past 10 years, because it's easy profit.

Hopefully their investment in more story pays off for you, I myself just know there are far better games that supply this end of the spectrum in many more ways.

Very dull situation if you ask me, which is why I'm leaving the game.
Always think creatively, and you shall be creative.

They should at least be trying different methods of PVP. So the combat system doesn't allow for it, make a new PVP combat system. Maybe let us play monsters vs monsters.

Everything doesn't have to be super complicated. If they think all minigames should be abandoned just because some of them are beyond repair, that is bad business. Talking about the identity of the game, I guarantee a high % of players strongly relate to one minigame or another, depending on when they joined.

It's a fundamental disagreement with Jagex, and one that is not likely to change.

One thing to keep in mind; this is the new, new, NEW Jagex. It's not looking too hot so far (miniquest: go play the new farm update) but they are just getting started. Hopefully.

Another thing highly related is the game jams. It's something I ranted about without knowing what it was. Like why don't they experiment, or accidentally come across greatness?

They shared a bit of what they are working on, and it was a snoozefest. I want them to be burning villages, and doing monster vs monster PVP combat like I said above. If it's not worth completing then drop it as a temporary event.

They also don't want temporary content, which is great, but their idea of permanent content is grind city. The best thing we have going now is the Giant Guthix butterfly Easter event.

I'm guessing they will now consider removing that, since it also features the insanely popular AFK agility laps. (pet parades too. best content)
