you mean the afk methods of prayer like hefin?

what we do know is dg was thriving skill, before the hole was a thing.

thats what ruined it thats what needs to go

you're wrong. It was never a thriving skill beyond the first few months of its release. Dungeoneering did not die because of the hole. The hole was introduced because DG died. Stop lying.

how did people train it before the hole?
oh it really was a thriving skills for many years, i made a lot of my gp from dg.

Your experience with DG is irrelevant and outdated so stop bringing it up. Nobody cares.

For 95% of DG's existence at this point, it has been a dead skill. It has been impossible to find parties unless you convince people you personally know to accompany you - this has been the case since long before the hole.

you said it was dead after few months of release. im saying it wasnt because of my experience with it. so yes its 100% relevant, i wouldnt of been able to make all that gp if it was dead.

literally first hand experience in something you say couldnt happen, when it did.

As I already said, DG died BEFORE the hole was introduced, so no. Removing the hole wouldn't make it easier to find parties.

of course it will.

remove the hole!!!

You only want the hole removed because you had the benefit of training DG during its brief lifespan and now you want new players to struggle training it so that you can feel superior to them in an online game. You are a bad faith forum poster. Leave my thread now, thanks.

how would i feel superior?

you are wanting to find parties to do dg as intended. im saying remove the hole then you can do that easier.

you are back tracking on what you want.

Exactly. I was having trouble finding groups for dg long before the beach hole was ever a thing, so dungeoneering was dying far before the hole's release. The skill needed far more different ways of training dung on release that made it worthwhile to group up, then maybe the hole wouldn't have needed to be added. I only group up to help my friends do their dung challenges and ignore normal floors otherwise after 200m. When the hole is the most popular way to train the skill, you know it needs a serious upgrade.

Make dungeoneering fun. Make the dungeons good. The dungeons are bland, boring, repetitive, etc, so nobody does the skill, period. It is a DEAD skill. I'm not a game dev so I can't provide more details than that.

Once again:

Ok but how exactly are they supposed to "fix it"?

You dont even say whats "broken" and needs "fixing".

Jagex arent mind readers.

Just saying "make it fun" and "its bland" means nothing.

Plus who said you needed to be a dev to explain whats wrong?

Thats called a cop out.

What issues are you having that could make the skill "better" for you?

People don't understand the original DG gaming experience. The ones who said it was most fun, you could argue they barely even played it, because they were racing through and clearing it in like 6 minutes.

The real DG is about 1 hour and 23 minutes. It's a war of attrition. It's being the highest level player in every skill and everyone is mad at you. You have to do everything, including making gear.

If you didn't have a gorajo familiar that reduced enemy defense, you could hardly even play. That was the first priority in any dungeon.

When any ferret or mime room appeared people would freak out. There was about a 1/3 chance that a player in the group would run off alone at the start. After a few minutes they would get mad and blame everyone else for not helping. For some reason they would continue doing this for about half an hour and then bail.

When you finally did get to the boss that was just the beginning. There would be 1 person who insisted on doing it solo and they would always fail after about 10 tries. Then actually leave.

The remaining crew would have to scatter and find more food because the hero used it all up. At this point only 1 player even knows how the boss works but it's enough to use the others as meat shields and limp through it.
