People don't understand the original DG gaming experience. The ones who said it was most fun, you could argue they barely even played it, because they were racing through and clearing it in like 6 minutes.
The real DG is about 1 hour and 23 minutes. It's a war of attrition. It's being the highest level player in every skill and everyone is mad at you. You have to do everything, including making gear.
If you didn't have a gorajo familiar that reduced enemy defense, you could hardly even play. That was the first priority in any dungeon.
When any ferret or mime room appeared people would freak out. There was about a 1/3 chance that a player in the group would run off alone at the start. After a few minutes they would get mad and blame everyone else for not helping. For some reason they would continue doing this for about half an hour and then bail.
When you finally did get to the boss that was just the beginning. There would be 1 person who insisted on doing it solo and they would always fail after about 10 tries. Then actually leave.
The remaining crew would have to scatter and find more food because the hero used it all up. At this point only 1 player even knows how the boss works but it's enough to use the others as meat shields and limp through it.
