To sum it up, cancel culture attempting to ruin another person's career with twitter accusations. Expect more accusers of this type to tighten jagex's stance instead of polling the community before more forced censorship.

Ah. So it's a non-committal "cover our ass" statement.
Thought it was something the company actually cared about.
I guess I would rather have Jagex say something now when there might not be things happening within the RuneScape Twitch community than to not say anything at all. This, at the very least, gives certainty that it's on their radar and that they're willing to discuss it.

But are they really willing to discuss this issue if they force-censor words that some might find offensive? Look, we already have a chat filter which is toggled on by default. Now, they're adding words into the hard filter (always filtered, even with filter off). The issue here is, this filter has been broken for YEARS and now they add upon it, increasing the chances of the bugs in this filter to intervene with my speech. In Dutch, even in a Dutch world, you cannot say two words with a "," in between. It's hardfiltered and will automatically * the words. I've reported this for YEARS and they do absolutely nothing about it.
In my opinion; filter on by default, if you turn it off; EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING people say is visible. Don't like that? TURN THE FILTER ON. It's really not that hard and it was your own choice in the first place to turn it off. Make it age restricted too; 18+ to turn it off. Everybody happy.
People should quit saying things that shouldn't be said in the first place. The age restriction doesn't help in any way. It is time to shut up and just randomly chitchat about RuneScape and normal/regular smalltalk about real-life that doesn't affect anyone else in a negative way.
The warning is there ... a line is drawn and that's about enough what should be done.
