It was implemented on the 20th March. It wasn't announced, so you didn't miss out on a news post. It just kind of... happened.

I think because it was a forum update, all the forum users would notice it, so it didn't really need an announcement. Although, in my opinion it deserved an announcement on the front page since it's a major step forward.

This took a lot more effort than it was worth lol, but hey, there's a direct link to a JMod post in a locked thread.

To get this I googled the exact time of the JMod post searching runescape.*** only and found a quotable post from that same time and since the ID for each post is consecutive I tried some numbers either side and in this case it turned out that the ID of the JMOd post was 1 less than that of the post I found. Totally 100% not worth doing though. :L

Sounds like a lot of effort.

That method would only be viable for recent JMod posts on locked threads, as you would need to find a post made at a similar time, which has been indexed by google. The more time that passes, the less chance you'll be able to find an indexed post.

But there is no way to do that for every quote we need. The odds to find the thread ReplyUID isn't high and will only bring us pain and headaches

I think the JMods should add an option to get the code or just allow us to quote the post into the clipboard.

I know I've said this a few times, but a simple comment in the HTML source of each post would really suffice. It doesn't affect the layout of the forums at all, but makes the world of difference to those of us who need to quote.
