Can Jagex please add a discrete warning box/news feed into the site and client.

This will help players know there are ongoing issues which might affect them.

In our organization we add the warning on top of the site design, ugly but helps ;)

I like your suggestion, but I don't expect it from happening.

Jagex, for better or for worst chose to use Social Media for such notification. Which made Non-Social Media Runescapers left in the dark when it comes to critical notifications like game downtime.

I sincerely wish Jagex inform people here in RSOF, using this very site for notifications but alas they do it mostly in Social Media these days.

Its something I've proposed in the past and hopefully something we'll be able to do in future.

Worth noting, any ongoing incidents or issues with the game or website should (and currently are) listed on our support site https://support.runescape.com/.

That should be your first port of call, as that is best placed to have the most up to date information.

Given that this is the case, the 'Support' button on the home page needs to be far more prominent, and not hidden away in a dusty corner.

The login error you're presented with today (if one of the few affected) is a great start - while hyperlinks would be favored, it's definitely welcomed over the generic ' wrong password or username'!
