A couple things happening for me today. On most of the threads the first 2 posts are getting crunched together. So the time stamp from the first post is inside the 2nd post.

As I watch, the top post loads and then drops down over the 2nd.

Also the picture background is flashing strangely as it loads. Not really sure what is happening there but it's different.

edit: one other thing is the scroll bar randomly clearing and then re-loading as I change pages.

I'm watching this more closely. The background picture I mentioned is the wide shot of a city above the forum.

When the posts drop the picture is also expanding downward. The picture usually snaps back up to its normal size and drags the post back up with it.

But all that behavior seems to be totally random.

I'm guessing this is 100% something to do with telephones.

Original message details are unavailable.
Do you have any screenshots? Those would definitely help us visualize the errors that you are experiencing.

I had a screenshot program on my previous laptop, but I generally have no use for it now. I'm not inclined to download it again for a 1 time use.

And besides, it is just as a I described. Nothing really beyond that. The first 2 posts are crunched together. They share some of the same space.

The background picture of a wide city shot is reloading itself and trying to load in a larger space. As it does that it pushes the top post down on top of the other.

The banner usually snaps back up into its normal size, and sometimes drags the top post back up.

I would need a video to capture all of that, or like 100 screenshots.

Ah, I see. I just wanted to say that looking at screenshots is easier to visualize instead of having the audience create their own images of what you have described :P .

As for taking a screenshot of your screen, you certainly do not need a program. Just hit the PrtScn/SysRq button on you keyboard while on the screen that you wish to capture, then head to Imgur, hit the Ctrl + V buttons, then right click on the picture to get its generated code. After that, add the code to the [imgur src=] tag and you are done :) . Those are the straightforward steps, but more detailed information and steps may be found here: How to, Upload an Image

I realized I would also need to crop out some information on a screen shot. It would be way easier to just download the program. :p

Anyways, I managed to Scooby-Doo another clue I had missed.

This only happens on threads with multiple pages. Like I cannot get any 2 pages in a row to load properly.

I'm just using chrome on a laptop so I'm sure more people will notice this eventually.

Hey there,

Good news is: the forums themselves aren't glitched (it's not happening to me at the moment), however a couple of weeks ago I was experiencing the exact same issue while others I knew were not.

Like the occasional issue where avatars aren't loading without refreshing a few times, there seems to be an intermittent network caching issue. I've noticed that when I was on a mobile device and that would happen, simply rotating the device to change the screen orientation, would resolve it until I went to another thread/page.

How did I fix it? It just kind of stopped doing it after about a week or two... *shrug* . The usual clearing of my local cache, etc didn't make much difference and is why I believe it's a network caching problem.

I was in the same boat as Spearmint30, where the posts were not lining up with the backgrounds. Same with lots of forum avatars not loading. The lining up issue fixed itself after maybe a week. I still have issues with avatars not loading. I have no idea what the causes are.
Bite me.
