The steam release of Runescape 3 makes the game more accessible than ever. To go from downloading the game, to creating a character is as streamlined as Runescape has ever had it.

This is a great change, that makes the game more accessible, and easier to join. And I am sure it has helped new players join without hassle. This effort to streamline is dragged down the shop, and further down the line - character creations misdirect of clarity.

What I mean by 'misdirect of clarity'. Is that both the Shop Page, the Bundle Pages, and the Character Creation prompts all provide clarity (clarity through notes, disclaimers, and important warning information).

Disclaiming 80% of something makes the 20% that wasn't disclaimed, extremely unexpected to the user when encountered. This is what is happening with the Steam bundles, and easy-to-go buyers embracing Runescape through steam.

Because of the streamline, the ease of access, and the various sentences of clarity. Steam users who research the Store Page, the Bundle Pages, and the various prompts of Character Creation. Using Steam as the only medium to look into the game, etc. Because 'Very Positive' reviews is quite telling.

Find reassurance in the percentage of positive reviews. To purchase one of the three bundles, that have reviews claiming - 'cheap membership'; 'great deal' - along those lines. To purchase these bundle(s) and try the game.

From here a player would be prompted through character creation. And the reviews on Steam often disclaim/warn of bots/MTX/etc. So if a player checks out Ironman/Ironwoman (hardcore or normal) in Character Create. They are informed that the mode makes trading impossible, and exterior impact (trading, GA) is not possible.

The Character Creation and the Store Page / Bundle Page fails to warn against the proper limitations of Ironman/Ironwoman. So when Steam players use Steam solely as their source of research (which is reasonable) given the immense amount of disclaimers, notes, and things Jagex wants us to know on their Store/Bundle page. And the immense amount of positive reviews / claims of 'great deal'.

A Steam Player can be lulled into snagging one of the bundles, and be furthermore find Ironman/Hardcore appealing. With the prompts, Store Page, Bundle Pages, not warning against the locking of Treasure Keys. Which ultimately results in that Steam Player with X amount of Treasure Keys, and X amount of Daily Keys, missing out on a large portion of the bundle they purchased. Only finding the limitation out from further out-of-the-way research, or through in-game (post creation) unable to access their Treasure Key purchase.

- What I Suggest:
Introduce Treasure Keys, for Cosmetic Items. Or allow Treasure Keys to be exchanged for Runecoin (animations, pets, cosmetics). Loyalty Points, etc. That way Ironman mode can benefit from the Steam Bundles, and the yearly Premium Bundle.

I don't find this suggestion unreasonable. As Ironman mode can use bonds to buy Auras. So exchanging these daily keys/bulk keys for Runecoin, or Loyalty Points (auras) as anti-Ironman.

The players affected by this can switch off of Ironman mode to get the full worth of their bundle. But there is a reason Iroman was toggled, and this feedback is posted. Some want to remain as Ironman, there is an appeal to the mode. And the bundle can so easily be made 100% with a few tweaks. Both for Steam and the Premium.

Alternatively if the Keys can't be translated to Runecoins, Loyalty Points, or other. Then allow key transfers, while keeping Ironman mode.
