Good morning,
I hope everyone is doing well today. I'd like to see if there are any limitations in using the HiScores to scan for potential botting activity, and report those bots if possible. Namely, if it would be possible to read the total skill levels/sub levels of many characters at once - and use that information to be parsed through a neural network in order to determine if a character has been subject to botting behaviours.
The main concern I'm having here is gathering of HiScore data, if this was found in a downloadable format that would be much appreciated - however in the meantime I would assume that reading the top 10,000 of each bottable skill would suffice. The end goal of this project would be to create a comprehensive list of botters, and highlight their activity to relevant JMods so that OSRS/RS3 bot levels could be decreased. Thanks for your time!
I have seen the link below being used to pull some data from the HiScores. Is there a limit to using this URL in parsing through tens of thousands of names? I would prefer to not break the rules in this endeavor - and if usage of this url is within those rules that would be fine.
