I've come across a bug in the Dealing with Scabaras quest that makes it impossible for me to continue. Luckily, I'm almost certain I know the cause of this bug. When Lead Archaeologist Abigail handed me the Scabaras research book, I started gathering the Scabarite notes as usual. However, on the 2nd notes drop, I forgot to place them in the book. I got a duplicate 2nd notes drop, but the game thought it was my 3rd notes drop, so my 4th notes drop was treated as my 3rd. Since you aren't able to collect more than 4 notes drops without completing the quest, I am stuck at 3 notes drops and am unable to continue from here. If anyone is able to offer help or get Jagex's attention to fix this, that would be a great help
I've already tried destroying the journal, it just gives me back the 3 notes I had and I'm still unable to get a 4th
UPDATE: I'm a dumbass, I figured it out. I killed a couple Scabarites and they gave me the 4th notes drop
