Would be the time to say Jagex had this awhile back in an earlier version of the forums. It was still in the testing phase, when the plan was scuttled as they didn't feel it was warranted or needed. As to the reasoning behind scrapping the idea, I've no clue but it never got out of BETA testing.

! Yes, it may deter further constructive feedback from the like-minded, but a
Dislike
button or an effect to lower the total of likes would also deter more trolls, imo. Simply, the posts less worthy of commending would receive less Likes.
Was this feature implemented around the '08-09 era when the employees actually-seemingly-genuinely last attempted to maintain/restore the RSOF

More like 2007 it was in use when I became an F-mod the F-mod team at the time was testing it out. Then Jagex decided to go another way with what made a good or bad idea as the thumbs up and down wasn't the greatest thing, as i guess they figured what we've already surmised people would up and down vote with alts or troll with it.
