After logging in, I encountered this:

I then click on the ''Back to homepage'' button and it sends me back to the main page but is then logged in.

If you're using 'HTTPS Everywhere', it's probably blocking it and you'll need to add (domain) as an exception. For example, navigating to the 'Clans' page while "Encrypt all sites Eligible" is set to ON, it will display the 404 error unless you turn it OFF.
