Instead of names and avatars showing up in Forum Help, you will now see "anonymous" show up as the most recent name that used Forum Help and a blank avatar. This does not apply to Forum Mods or Local Mods.

Forum and Local Mods are still allowed to reply @the name of the forumer they helped, with their usual answer that prevents any type of forum revenge. Forum help posts that aren't Forum Mods or Local Mods are now hidden on post.

Instead of names showing up in Forum Moderation Review V3, you will now see "anonymous" show up as the most recent name that used Forum Moderation Review v2.

This does not apply to Jagex Mods. Jagex Mods are still allowed to reply @the name of the forumer they helped.

This will ensure less revenge reports.

In principle, yes there should be no "last post by" identifier for any players on those types of threads. However due to the forum technology currently present, it's unlikely that's going to change though. Of course, I would support such a change in principle though.

if the revenge reports are upheld it means the other user is also misbehaving does it not?

Exactly the point. The "judge" is always the Jmod who can see who posted and when, regardless the identities of whoever posted them. There is absolutely no difference.

We can't go to Court and say your honor, he reported me so I report him. One must have something solid to make a case.

Even if that is implemented, it will be rendered void later given that the FMR Jmod will name the reporter to provide her official feedback. That feedback is also a public post, everyone sees that.

^ Thats true, but often the JMod feedback is delayed to the point where its hard to tell what the feedback was about, except to the person that made the report in the first place.
That said, I dont disagree

I think a good alternative is for the FMR Jmod to respond using the official mailbox system.

That way the response is personalized and the only eyes that can see the feedback is the reporter himself/herself.

But the side effect is there is no way for the general public to know how active the Fmr Jmod is with regards to actioning the report as there is no publicly visible trace.

If you report something the opposite party has a right to see what is reported, regardless of being done right/wrong.
According to whom? Where do you believe that you have been given this right to "see what is reported" ?

Why do you feel it's important for the general public to "know how active the FMR JMod is"?
I'm better than you, but that doesn't mean you're not great! :)
